There are in every section oi the county hundreds
and thousands suffering from the disease called Grav
el—a disease having its origin under various circum
stances ; sometimes produced by dissipation and high
liviug, sometimes by impoverished and irregular liv
ing, and oftentimes'by mental disquietude, physical
exhaustion, Ac., ftp.
The progress of tho disease is oftentimes very slow,
scarce arresting tho attention of the patient, and
without much disturbance to the general health—it
other cases its progress is rapid and of tho most pain
ful distressing character. In either case, however,
patients are very apt to be lulled into a false securi
ty by the escaping of the sandy deposits, thinking
that so long as tbe deposit continues to escape there
is no need of giviog tbe complaint any veiw particu
lar medical attention. But how truly are they sleep
ing over a mine, while the match is already lighted
—forgetting that the slightest circumstances may
give rise to the detention of one, even tbe smallest
particle oi tbe deposit may givo rise to the formation
of stone, one of the most horrible dseases that flesh
is heir to, and a disease that, in nine cases out of ten,
has its origin in Grave!. How truly does it behoove
every one suffering, even from the mildest form of
thediseaee to take heed lest the most serious results
take place from their negligence to give it that rem
ediai attention which it so much and so traly demands
As a remedy in this disease, and one that may bo
relied upon with every confidence, “ Rislet’s Cox-
pound Fluid Extract or Hut hu" stands very far
in advance ot every preparation—a remedy that has
long been used by some of tbe most emineut mem
bers of the medical profession and regarded by them
as one of tbe safest, most speedy and effectual reme-
oies within their re; ch. Let every sufierer try it

STOMACH OR LIVES,
S UCH ns Indigestion, Acidity of the Stomach,
Colicky Pains, Heartburn. Loss of Appetite,
Despondency, Costivoness Blind and Bleeding Piles.
In ail Nervous, Rheumatic, and Neuralgic Affec
tions, it has in numerous instances proved highly
beneficial, and in others effected a decided cure.
This is a purely vegetable compound, prepared on
strictly scientific principles, after the manner of the
celebrated Holland Professor, Hoerbave. Because
of its great success in most of the European States,
its introduction into tbe United States was intended
more especially for those of our fatherland scattered
here and there over the face of this mighty country.
Meeting with great success among them, I now offer
it to the American public, knowing that its truly
wonderful medicinal virtues must be acknowledged.
It is particularly recommended to those persons
whose constitutions may have been impaired by the
continuous use of ardent spirits, or other forms of
dissipation. Generally instantaneous in effort, it
finds its way directly to the seat of Uf-, thrilling and
quickening every nerve, raising up the drooping
spirit, and, in fact, infusing new health and vigor in
the system.
No'ticz.—Whoever expects to find this a beverage
will be disappointed; but to tho sick, weak and low
spirited, it will prove a grateful aromatic cordial,
possessed of singular remedial properties.
CAUTIONt
Tlie great popularity of this delightful Aroma has
induced many imitations, which the public should
guard against purchasing. Be not persuaded to ffuy
anything else until you have given Boerhave’g Hol
land Bitters a fair trial. Ono bottle will convince
you how infinitely superior it is to all these imita
tions.
