Death of Mrs. John Eason.
•On the 28th of January, 1904,
-Mrs. Katie Eason was called from
.earth to heaven.
In paying this tribute to her
mentor}’, it is not necessity that I
remind others of her virtues, for
those who knew her remember her
i^pright, lady-like life, find are sad
dened at what seems her untimely
taking awuy. I know of no lady
whose death caused more genuine
sorrow. She was appreciated in
life by all who knew her, and is
mourned in death by all classes,
(who will greatly miss her.
'The husband loses a true and
ifaithful companion, while the chil
dren lose the pure and mild eyed
one who bore the blessed name of
toother. We know that as they
think of the happy and holy asso
ciations of by gone years they will
be subdued into pensive sorrow and
their grief will be heavy.
It ilooks hard, indeed, t > give
ifier up, but “lie doom all things
well,” She has gone to that beau
tiful home where there is no sutler
tug. there to delight herself in the
never fading flowers of that living
country.
She is gone from us forever, but.
will not be forgotten. To live in
the hearts of those we leave behind
is not to die. To the good there is
no death. She lives in a better
land where life, joy and peace walk
hand in hand. She stands by the
river of life und drinks ot its wa
ter, and beckons you to coiue.
God saw tit to tako her away. So
Jet us be submissive and say “Thy
will be donr,” und let us, what time
we arc here, strive to-do IIis will,
that at last we will lie prepared to
- live with her that life that will be
•as one eternal Subbath day.
