Poole. HRS. EDWARDS mw to mi. j She Heated a Rock to Warm Her Feet and the Heat Ignited the Bed Clothing. Mrs. Margarett Edwards, an aunt of Mr. J. M, Morris, of our city was burn ed to death at the Morris Hotel Tues day night. Mrs. Edwards wrapped a hot rock with some bedding aud placed in her bed to keep her feet warm. The rock was hot aud Ignited the cloth aud set fire to the bedding aud to her cloth ing. Her entire clothing was soon in a blaze. When Mr. Morris heard her shouting for help he ran to her rescue aud made efforts to extinguish the burning clothing, but before he suc ceeded she had been fearfully aud fa tally burned. She died in a few hours, retaining consciousness nearly up to the time of her death. The body of the unfortunate woman was cooked and burned in a terrible manner.
