Winder Band Organized.
A band class of thirteen or fourteen
members was organized here last week
with Prof. Carson as teacher. Several
in the class were already good musicians
and the others are learning rapidly. In
a few weeks Winder will have one
among the finest bauds in the State. A
good band adds to a town and The

Hit With Bail.
Mr. Clifford Holliday, one of the pop
ular youug students of our school, hap
pened to a very painful accident last
Friday afternoon during a game of ball.
He was not engagid in the game but
merely a spectator. One of the young
men threw a very hard ball which struck
Mr. Holliday just above the left eye,
cutting a deep gash. He is getting on
alright, however, and in a few more
days will be in school again-
