Deering Ideal Mowers
With Rubber and Ball Bearing.
Deerngßoller BearingMowerl l-215ftcut,
A round of startling victories has marked the path of the Deering
Ideal Mower. No grass is too heavy or two liirht; no land is too rough
and no surface is too severe for this plucky little hero. Instead of fric
tion bearing it has trolleys and halls; the crank shafts parralel with the
ground so that the Self Adjusting Pitmau moves steadily back and
forth in workman like fashion. The serrated ledger plates hold the
grass like the roller of a feed cutter, and nothing can escape or draw in
under the sickle. Tin adjustable drag bar pays the interest on the
investment. The driver of the Ideal Mower can cut as slow as he likes,
aud is never necessary to back when starting the machine. The use
of the roller and ball bearings has eliminated friction, and instead of
grinding the hearings, all the power is used in cutting the grass.
Don’t waste your time and money by using old out of date machines,
but buy the Deering Roller Bearing Ideal Mower.
Send for a catalogue. For sale by

The Devil’s Soliloquy.
(Suggested by hearing a rnau speak disparagingly of a vonug girl.)
Selected.
One uighc as the devil sat musing alone,
In the midst of his cozy, warm fire.
And trying to figure the difference in guilt,
’Tween a thief and an all round liar.
His memory was turned to the scenes of his youth
And his eyes till id with hot boiling tears.
So he took down his ledgtr aud turned to the page,
Dated about six thousand rears.
*’l suppose,” he exclaimed as he glanced through the book,
“lam doing the best that 1 can,
For my business denotes a continual increase,
Ever since tne creation of man.
I’ve cribbed a good harvest tor six thousand years,
Aud should be content with the yield.
And give my opponent permission to have,
The gleanings that I leave the field.
I’ve gaihered a very diversified crop,
Of merchants and lawver§, galore;
I’ve bound politicians in bundles until,
Every one of my fingers are sore.
I’ve fiddlers, gamblers and insurance man,
I’ve murdereis, forgers aud liars,
And filled up theiurnace with green den ocrais,
Till they actually put, out the fires.
I've railroad conductors aud doctors to spare,
Horse traders aud preachers to spend;
Republicans, populists, tories aud vvhigs—
And two or three newspaper men
IWBut there is oneclass, I’m hapj y to say,
Can never gain entrance here:
Their souls are so dirty I’m sure tha r > they would,
Demoral ze nell in a year.
I refer to that thing, neither human 1 or beast,
The carrion crow of the world.
Who never is happy unless he can base,
Oa the wreck of an iunoceut girl.
A million of years in my warmest of rooms.
His slander would never atone,
So I give him a match aud advise him to start, ~
A select iittle hell of his own.”
With his fingers he hit au asbestos cigar,
And placing his book on a shelf,
He muttered, “I may be a very bad man,
But I’ve got some respect for myself ”

DISCOVERED BY A WOMAN
Another great discovery has been
made and that too. by a lady in this
country. “Diseased fastened its clutch
es upon her and for several years she
withstood its severest test 6, but her
vital organs were undermined und
death seemed imminent. For three
mouths she coughed incessantly and
could not sleep. She finally discovered
a way to recovery by purchasing of us
a bottle of Dr. King’s New Discovery,
for consumption, and was so much ie
lijved on taking first dose, that she
slept all night aud with two bottles has
been absolutely cured. Her name is
Mrs. Luthur Lutz ” Thus writes W.

IS IT RIGHT
FOR AN EDITOR TO RECOMMEND
PATENT MEDICINES?
From Sylvan Valley News, Brevard,
N. C.
It may be a question whether the edi
tor of a newspaper lias the right to pub
licly recommend any of the various pro
prietary medicines which flood the mar
ket, yet as a preventive of suffering we
feel it a duty to say a good word fer
Chamberlaiu’s Colic, Cholera aud Diar
rhoea Remedy. We have known and
used this medicine in our Family for
twenty years aud have always found it
reliable. In many cases a dose of this
remedy would save hours of suffering
while a physician is awaited. We do
not believe in depending implicitly on
any medicine for a cure, but we do be
lieve that if a bottle of chamberlain’s
Diarrhoea Remedy were kept on hand
and administered at the inception of an
attack much suffering might be avoided
and in very many cases the presence of
a physician would not be required. At
least this has been our experience dur
ing the past tweutv years. Sold by Win
der Drug Cos.
