Deering Ideal Mowers With Rubber and Ball Bearing. leer'ng Roller BearingMower4l-?Mcut, A round of startling victories has marked the path of the Deering deal Mower. No gras9 is too heavy or two light; no land is too rough Hid no surface is too severe for this plucky little hero. Instead of fric* don bearing it has trolleys and 1-alls; the crank shafts parralel with the (round so that the Self Adjusting Pitman moves steadily back and forth in workman like fashion. The serrated ledger plates hold the ;rass like the roller of a feed cutter, and nothing can escape or draw in ander the sickle. Th) adjustable drag bar pays the interest on the investment The driver of the Ideal Mower can cut as slow as he likes, tod is never necessary to back when starting the machine. The use and the roller audf ball bearings has eliminated friction, and instead of (raiding the bearings, all the powir is used in cutting the grass. Austin, two miles South of Winder in Walton County, brought out some interesting facts. Mr. Austin has been married 49 years and b as elev en children. There has never been a death in his family during the 49 years and we doubt whether there is just such another record known- His youngest child is 22 years old aud all the children were on hand last Saturday except one daughter who could not be present. There were 41 grandchildren besides the great-grandchildren present and a number neighbors aud friends, your scribe was one of the invited guest and, in common with all the rest, never en joyed a day better. There is no finer looking and clever family in Walton county than the Austin family. After a sumptuous dinner of everything good and nice the appetite could wish, the evening w r as spent in conversation, njus io, sc ugs aud recitations by the children aud grandchildren. Of ail evils prevalent among young mm, we know of none more blighting m its effects th in to speak lightly of the vir.u-s of women. Nor is theie any thing in which young men are so thor oughly mistaken as the low estimate they form as to the integrity of women. Nn of their own mothers and sisters but of others, who, they forget, are ► om-bidy el-e’s mothers aud sisters. Asa rule, no person who surrenders to ihis debasing habit is to be trusted with an enterprise requiring integrity of character. Plain words should be spok en on this point, for the evil is a general one, and deep rooted. If young men are sometimes thrown into the society of thoughtless or depraved women, they’ve no more right to measure all other wo men by what they see of these thau they have to estimate the character of honest and respectable c tizms by the develop ments of crime in ou r pelice courts. L°t our young men remember their chief happiness in life depends upon their utter fai hiu women. No world ly wisdom, no misanthropic philo s ophy, no generalization can cover or weaken truth, It stands like the record of itself for it is nothing less than this—and should not put au everlasting seal upon lips that are wont to speak slightingly of w jme v .—Faith Ripley iu Rural New Yorker.
