One of the most pleasant social events of the season, was the “At Home” giv en by Miss Pearl Jennings, at her resi dence on Broad street, on the evening of the 12th inst., introducing her cousin Miss Annie Lee Faust, of Denmark S C. The parlors and dinning room were artistically decorated in golden rod and honey suckle. At ten o’clock delicious refreshments were served, after which the delightful music by several of the guests; and ’’the wreck of the Maine.” rendered in a most effective manner by Miss Eley, tbe efficient elocutionist of Winder Institute, added much to the pleasure of all present and it was only when the “wee Sma hoars” reminded them that the evening was at a close, that the happy guests reluctantly dis persed, thanking Miss Jennings for this long-to-be remembered occasion. Among those present were: Mrs P. P. Jennings; Misses Bash, Smith, Cargill, Saunders, Wills, Yearwood. Eley, Mc- Donald, Faust, and Jennings, and Messrs. Russell, Huut, Black, Whit worth. Hutchins, Bush, Dabney, Daniel Bash Jackson, Saunders, Qaattlebaum and Cargill. QUESTION ANSWERED. Yea, August Flower still has the largest sale of any medicine ia the civ ilized world. Your mothers’ and grand mothers’ never thought of using any thing else for Indigestion or Biliousness. Doctors were scarce, and they seldom heard of Appendicitis, Nervous Prostra tion or Heart failure, etc. They used August Flower to clean out the system and stop fermentation of undigested food, regulate the action of the liver, stimulate the nervous and organic ac tion of the system, and that is all they took when feeling dull and b*d with headaches and other aches. You only need a few doses of Green’s August Flower, in liquid form, to make you sat isfied there is nothing serious the mat ter with you. Simple bottles at Win der Drug Cos.
