Bond of Nicholson waa knocked down and robbed last Thursday night while going home from his place of business. He is one of the leading business men of Nicholson and postmas ter of that place. He was struck a ter rific blow on the head, but his hat broke its force, partially, other wise death would have resulted. His pockets were turned wrong side out and about |2B in cash were prooured beside the keys to the postoffice, which ’ was afterwards looted. The last reports are that he will recover from the lick. The Economist hopes to soon hear of his complete recoverv and that the guilty party will De convicted and pun ished.
