We are surprised thattho Vanderbilts aud Astors and Goulds do not move out to the Red River valley ar.d go to farm ing. And why would any man edit a daily paper in Minneapolis or St. Paul when such encouraging figures are before him as are given above? Think of that Beltrami man who has farmed himself into $13,646 of debt and his only $420 to show for it. And if it was not for the exemption laws he would not have three cents. To count the votes cast by reform parties and rely upon that alone as an index to the public mind on questions of the day oue would naturally suppose th it all the talk and writings on these indeas for the post fifteen years was al most equal to that much energy thrown away. But if the seeker after the truth oonld go into the breasts of the people and see what is really written there, how different would the conclusion be! The facts in the case are that full nine ty nine per cent of the people have been more or less affected by it. Croppings of this feeling can be readily deciphered in every platform that is enunciated, and even that can not be taken as a correct indication of the real condition. The country is full of men who feel like caged birds. They beat their heads against the wires of their political cages, and realize that they are ooralled by their party platform demands, yet they have not screwed their courage up to the point of aligning themselves with tne party that demands these advanced ideas The ideas of Socialism, Popu lism, Single Taxism and all others isms that contain new ideas, have ingratiated themselves into the minds and hearts of the people in a way that, to them, was almost imperceptible, but the ideas are there just the same. The orop is <owu auu, while but lit tie has ripened, it is ripening more or less, and will eventually ripen together. When it does, something will be done; and not before It is none the less needful that those who have sown the good seed con tinue to cultivate tha soil until the grand fruition cemes. Keeping ever lastingly at it will surely bring result— Beacon. RED HOT FROM THE GUN Was the ball that hit G. B. Steadman of Newark, Mich., in the Civil War. QUESTION ANSWERED. Yes, August Flower still has the largest sale of any medicine in the oiv ilized world. Your mothers’ and grand mothers’ never thought of using any thing else for Indigestion or Biliousness. Doctors were scarce, and they seldom heard of Appendicitis, Nervous Prostra tion or Heart failure, etc. They used August Flower to dean out the system and stop fermentation of undigested food, regulate the action of the liver, stimulate the nervous and organic ac tion of the system, and that is all they took when feeling doll and bd with headaches and other aches. You only need a few doses of Green’s August Flower, in liquid form, to make you sat isfied there is nothing serious the mat. ter with you. Sample bottles at Win der Drug Cos. Winder, Ga..
