Oa January. Bnd, the angel of death
visited the home of Mr. an i Mrs. C E.
Nickolseu and took their precious little
darling Ruby, who was b >rn Jane 8;h,
1897, and saide "oeme and go with me
and enter into the joy of the Lord”
Ruby was a sweet little child, and was
loved by all who knew her. She was
the pride of a father’s heart and the
ideal of a ma'her’s love We have evi
dence to believe that Ruby is at the
right hand of God ready to in sot the re
deemed of the earth, and may father
and mother be ready to mo t with her
when their time comes to depart from
this world. Woe uuto him that smiles
not at the cradle and weeps not at the
grave. Ho who has never triod the
oompauiorship rf a little child has care
lessly passed by one of the greatest
ploasores of life, just as one passes a
rare flower without plucking it or
kuowiug its value. The gleeful laugh
of little Ruby was such music to the
home as the world shall not equal no~
heaven surpass. The little tougue i*
s ill the oradle empty and voice no
more heard, but weep not parents, for
she is at rest where trouble never oom?s
aud could you ask her through pai i to
live this life again, Woo dij an l sleep
iu dreamless slumber, where sunbeams
like a blessing shod There glories, and
the raiudrops falling. Weep not over
your darling dead.
Her life was like a rushing river,
That proudly bore upon its breast
Our highest hopes into a heaven
Where Jesus dwells aud children rest.
Sleep on, though thou art gone, the
grave
Holds but the outward earthly shrine
That held within its clay cold breast,
The sacred spark of life divine
Sleep on, darling uuforgotten.
Where bud aud blossom rouud tbee blow
Aud the soft fires of life’s sunset
In glory glides thy couch below.
