NO RIGHT TO UGLINESS.
The woman who is lovely in face,
form and temper will always have
friends, but one who would be attrac
tive must keep her health. If she is
weak, sickly and all run down, she will
be nervous and irritable. If she has
oonstipation or kidney trouble, her im
pure blood will cause pimples, blotches,
skin eruptions and a wretched complex
ion. Electric Bitters is the best medi
cine in the world to regulate stomach,
liver and kidneys and to purify the
blood. It gives strong nerves, bright
eyes, smooth, velvety skin, rich com

In Memory
Of little Johnny McDonald, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Wesley McDonald, who
died Wednesday, May 231, 1900, age
one year, two months and twenty-three
days. Little Johnny was laid to rest
in Pendergrass cemetery, Rev. H. B.
Mays conducting the funeral service.
Farewell little Johnny, we miss you
here but feel sure that the angels will
be proud of their new companion. Rest
in your sweet abode until we shall meet
you and all gather at the river that
flows by the throne of God.
When the eve star riseth gently
In the heaven so bright and clear,
Filling all the world with beauty,
Then we miss you, Johnny dear.
Tie sad to part with one we love
To bid our little nephew adieu,
Who had stamped his precious memory
In the hearts of all he kn ,w.
Oh happy lot indeed sweet one
For you whose cares are o’er,
But hard indeed for those you left
To have you here no more.
Tis hard to part with one so dear
To know that never more on earth
Your loving voice we’ll hear.
But with loving hearts, dear Johnny
We’ll try to follow you,
Hoping when we meet in heaven
All our pleasures to renew.

Everyday Flunkeism,
Think of the reverential awe in which
the common man nowadays holds hi*
sovereign; how flattered he is when
notified by a judge, an English lord, a
senator, a member of Congress; how
how many would consider it an honor
to be kicked by a gold-laced general or
admiral. Yet these same men are, in
fact, as much onr servants as a consta
ble, a street cleaner, a member of city
councils, etc. Alas!
"The world, of fools has such a store,
That ha who would not see an ass,
Most stay at home and bar his door,
And break his looking glass.”
WOULD NOT SUFFER SO AGAIN
FOR FIFTY TIMES ITS PRICE.
I awoke last night with severe pains
in my stomach. I never felt so badly in
all my life. When I came down to
work this morning I felt so weak I
could hardly work. I went to Miller &
McCurday’s drug store and they recom
mended Chamberlain’s Colic, Cholera
and Diarrhoea Remedy. It worked like
magic and one dose fixed me alright. It
oertainly is the finest thing I ever used
for stomach trouble. I shall not be
without it in my home hereafter, for I
should not care to endure the sufferings
of last night again for fifty times its
prioe.— G. H. Wilson, Liveryman,
BurgeUstown, Washington Cos., Pa.
