A fliraculous Cure.
From the daily papers this week the
news comes from Ashburn, Ga., of the
remarkable cure of Mr. Ira Teagle, a
brother of Mrs. G. W. DeLaPerriere of
our city. He returned last spring from
the Philippines where he had been in
tlie United States army and shortly af
ter his return spent a few weeks in
Winder with his sister.
Our people, all of whom knew him
well, he having lived here a few years
ago, were much surprised and grieved
to see him paralized and not able to
walk. His condition continued to grow
mere serious and on last Sunday night
at the home of his sister, Mrs. Thrasher,
of Ashburn, Ga., it was thought the
end was nearing with him and that he
would not live through the night. Sud
denly he opened his eyes and asked
that his feet be lifted from the bed to
the floor. “The Lord has told me to
rise, take up my bed and walk,” said
he, and he arose, picked up a quilt and
walked. Monday afternoon he walked
down town and Monday night walked
to church and told the people how he
was healed. This, to say the least,
looks very much like a miraculous cure.
