Mr. Walter Wood has rented the beautiful home of Prof. J. J. Kilgore on Candler street and will move his family here this week from Conyers. Mr. M. G. Henderson, of Olix, one of our old neighbors andjgood friends, came in yesterday and paid up bis sub scription and also for a yearin advance Parties come here every week and have to leave without getting a house in which to live. The Thimble Circle. A number of ladies last Thursday i me * i a f> the home of Mrs. Green Smith, i and organized a Thursday Afternoon i Thimble Circle, for the advancement of needle work. Mrs. Charles Stough, was elected president; Mrs. Green Smith, Vice-President; Mrs. Frank Bon durant, Secretary and Miss Mrry Lou Cargill, Assistant Secretary. Much interest wac manifested in the work, and an enjoyable afternoon spent. Those present were Mesdames Green Smith, Walker Kimbell, Robert L. Mobley, E l A. Starr, S. Theo Ross, Annie Cacithers, Frank W. Bonduraut, Charles Stough and Miss Mary Lou Cargill, The Taimbte Circle will be entertained at the home of Mrs. S. Lodge at this place initiated twenty new members iu the secret work of the order at a regular meeting last Monday night. This order is now in a very prosperous condition, the Lodge having over seventy mem bers. The growth this year has been greater than any year of its history. A Sweet Little Girl Dead. The sweet little three year old daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs J. A. Wil's, of Wil ner; died last Saturday after a brief ill ness and was hurried on Sunday. This was the oldest child of Mr. and Mrs. Wills and her death is a g eat blow to them. Their many friends deeply sympathize with them in the’r grief and sorrow. Cotton is Going Higher.
