Mrs. I .aura and little Martha Sue Haynie were guests of Mrs. Anna Ham mond Sunday. Miss Annie Lou Mineey, of Minder, spout Sunday with home folks. Mr ami Mrs. Guy Prickett anil their daughter were guests of Mr. \V. T. Prickett Saturday night and Sunday. Mr and Mrs. J. L. Lyle and chil dren of Tyro spent Sunday with Mrs. H. A. Hardigree. Messrs. Charlie Ferguson and W. T. Prickett were in Hahlonega last week. Mrs. Charlie McDonald and children W ore guests of Mrs. D. B. Miller Mon day afternoon. Miss Era Mineey is spending this week in Winder with her sisters, Misses Oro and Annie Lou Mineey. Miss Lucllc Miller spent Saturday in Winder. STATH VM CHURCH NEWS Prayer meeting at the Statham Bap tist church last Wednesday evening was led by Prof. Colbert, his subject being covetousness, and he made the service of much interest to all. Pastor C. W. Henderson, whose little girl, Carolyn, has been quite sick for some time was rushed to Atlanta Sunday for ail operation. These g*s-d people have the sympathy of all our citizens in the anxious moments they are now passing through, and we hope the lit tle girl will soon be well again. Sunday school was well attended and we are so glad to see more older people coining out to Sunday school, and much interest being manifested. Sunbeams was full of renewed inter est over tbe news tiiat their leader, Mrs. Daniel, would soon be able to come home. B. Y. P. U. committees are planning many good things for the future pro grams. Miss Theta Harris, captain of Groupe No. 1, rendered a fine pro gram Sunday evening. Miss Nell Camp has entire charge of the music and the well selected songs add much to the meetings.
