Ware was hostess at Bridge party. • Thursday, June 9th. Mrs. John Maynard is entertain ing Junior Priscilla Sewing club. Mrs. MeCurr.v is entertaining a number of friends at lovely party. Baptist Sunday school picnic at Potter's Springs from 5 to 9. Friday, June 10th. Mrs. Joe Estes will entertain the Young Matrons and Brides clubs. Mrs. W T . L. DeLaPerriere Hostess At Series of Parties. Among the enjoyable social gayeties of last week were the lovely parties on Thursday and Friday afternoons, at which Mrs. W. L. DeLaPerriere was the gracious hostess. This attractive home was artistical ly decorated with a profusion of bright summer flowers, ferns and other plants. The guests enjoyed games of bridge and 500, also sewing. Punch was serv ed during the the afternoons and after the games a most delicious salad course with frozen punch was served. Mrs. DeLaPerriere was assisted in receiving and serving by her sisters, Misses Mel lie and Lilia Mae Stanton, of Social Circle. The guests for Thursday af ternoon were Mesdames Reba Vonder- Heith, E. Fortson enter tained a number of the younger set at a prom party Tuesday evening, compli mentary to Misses Katie Lou Oglesby and Willie Elizabeth Hall of Elberton. The spacious porch was decorated with potted plants and baskets of nastur tiums. During the evening punch and sandwiches were served. Mrs. Ware Hostess. Wednesday afternoon Mrs. S. H. Ware was the charming hostess at a most enjoyable porch party. The spa cious porch was unusually attractive and inviting. The marriage of Miss Wilma Apple by and Robert Settle was beautifully solemnized Thursday evening at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Appleby, on Wright street, in the presence of relatives and a few fxiemls. The guests were reeoelved and served punch by Misses Fannie Lee DeLay and Mary Weatherly and Rob ert Appleby. In the reception hall where the cer emony was performed was the altar of ferns and daisies and festoons of south ern smilax. The ring was impressively spoken by Rev. W. H. Faust, pastor of the First Baptist church. Preceding the ceremony Mr. Cooper rendered a vocal solo. A sister of the bride, Mrs. Victor Set tle, beautifully gowned in pink satin and georgette, played the wedding march. Another sister of the bride, Miss Edna Appleby, was bridesmaid, and she wore a beautiful gown of pink satin and georgette and carried a bo quet of pink sweet peas. The bride, on the arm of the brides maid, was met at the altar by the groom and his mest man, Victor Set tle. After the ceremony an informal re ception was held. The happy couple left on the eleven o'clock train for New York where they will make their fut ure home.
