THURSDAY. JUNE 23, 1921 4 Parish Academy Locals Mrs. Sunie Elder and daughter were guests Wednesday night of her brother, Mr. Ode Flanigan. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Allen and Miss •Bessie Simpson sent Thursday night with the latter’s grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Flanigan. This community was visited by a good rain Wednesday night which was well pleasing to the farmers. Sylvester Saul spent Wednesday night with Herman Simpson. Mrs. A. X. Elliott and children were guests Friday night of Mrs. Price. ■ Miss Jewell Elliott was the guest a While Friday night of Miss Carmen El der. Mrs. Pearlie Simpson and daughter, Floru, and Mrs. Birtie Allen spent last Sunday with Mrs. Vesta Cruce. Mrs. A. X. Elliott had as her guests Sunday Mrs. Price, Mrs. C. P. Allen and Mrs. Mary Allen. Miss Thelma Allen spent Saturday night with Miss Bessie Simpson. Misses Pauline and Xorene John son and Gladys Evans were guests on Sunday of their grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Healan. ' Mr. and Mrs. John Greeson were guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Skelton. The singing at Mr. C. P. Allen’s last Sunday afternoon was highly enjoyed by all present. Miss Bessie Simpson was the guest Sunday of Miss Thelma Allen. Mr. Ernest Simpson spent Saturday night with Mr. Clarence Braselton. Mr. and Mrs. Luther Allen sent Sat urday night with Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Smith. Miss Thelma Allen spent last week with her little neice, Miss Lavertice House. Many attended the singing at Mr. J. ,0. Healan’s Sunday night. ' Misses Xellie, Ruth and Thelma Al len were guests of Miss Carmen Elder Saturday afternoon. Mr. Charlie Moat and family were guests of his brother, Mr. Henry Moat Sunday. Mrs. Wills has returned to her home in Jefferson after spending some time here with her daughter, Mrs. Lester Harwell. Mr. and Mrs. T. K. Wilbanks spent last Wednesday with their son,, Mr. Bee Wilbanks, near Auburti. Miss Elizabeth Booth spent the past week-end in Statham with Miss Lucile Itylee. Messrs. Jack and Hoyt Jones spent several days in Greensboro last week. Mrs. Sarah Healan, of Winter Gar den, Florida, is spending some time with her daughter, Mrs. Rob McEl hannon.
