One Dollar Saved Represents Ten
Dollars Earned.
The average man does not save to
exceed ten per cent of his earnings. lie
must spend nine dollars in living ex
penses for every dollar saved. That
being the case he can not be too careful
about unnecessary expenses. Very of
ten a few cents properly invested, like
buying seeds for his garden, will suve
several dollars outlay later on. It Is
the same in buying Chamberlain’s Colic
and Diarrhoea Remedy. It costs but
a few cents, and a bottle of it in the
house often saves a doctor’s bill of sev
eral dollars.
To Remove Lead From Gunbarrels.
Chemically pure and strong nitric
acid will dissolve the lead in a gun
barrel, and will not Injure the metal
of the bnrrel unless the acid becomes
diluted with a little water. To re
move the acid, pour all of It out and
wipe the gun dry with a rag soaked in
olive or cottonseed oil. Do not get the
scld on the hands or clothes. If
by chance this happens it should he
washed off immediately with water and
then some weak alkali.
Indigestion
Many persons, otherwise
rigorous and healthy, are
bothered occasionally with
Indigestion. The effects of a
disordered stomach on the
system are dangerous, and
prompt treatment of Indiges
tion Is Important. “The only
medicine I have needed has
been something to aid diges
tion and clean the liver,"
writes Mr. Fred Ashby, a
McKinney, Texas, farmer.
“My medicine is
Thedford’s
BLACK-DRAUGHT
for Indigestion and stomach
trouble of any kind. I have
never found anything that
touches the spot, like Black-
Draught. I take it in broken
doses after meals. For a long
time I tried pills, which grip
ed and didn’t give the good
results. Black-Draught liver
medicine is easy to take, easy
to keep, inexpensive.”

*MICHELIN
has overcome the commonest
Punctures
Michelin users have often remarked
that these superior tires uneture less
frequently than other makes.
This freedom from punctures is due to
the extra thickness of the Michelin
tread. This added tread-thickness
makes it unusually difficult for objects
to penetrate to the inner tube.
The 34 x 4 Michelin, for example, is
practically a whole inch thick. Come
in and let us show you your size.
