Air. and Airs. E. Al. Smith and Airs. Merk of Bogart were with relatives Sun day afternoon. Mr. and Airs. Myron Wright of East ville were guests of the hitters par ents Sunday. Dr. and Airs. C. S. Williams of Win tier spent Sunday here with Mr. and Airs. Nunnally. Airs. T. J. ’Sykes entertained her Sunday school class, also the teachers of Statham High School on last Friday evening at her home on Broad St. Al ter a pleasant time spent in music games and conversation, a delicious salad and hot chocolate was served. The Womans Missionary society of Christian church met tit the home of Airs. A. Al. Hale Monday uftrnoon. Af ter a discussion of the work in which all the hrties took part delicious re freshments were served. Airs. Hale was assisted by her daughter, AJrs. Johnnnie Treadwell. Prof. Williams spent the week-end at Colbert with his family. Air. and Mrs. T. M. Smith of Tulbot ton spent Tuesday with their sister. Airs. J. M. Ross. Mr. and Airs. W. H. It should have been 177. PREMIUM LIST OF NORTH RA FAIL. - - We had hoped that we would be able to publish the list of prize winners at the North Georgia Fair held in Winder in this issue. But owing to the fact that Mr. Jacobs, the secretary, has l*sm in Atlanta all of this week, we were not able to secure them from him. He will be in Winder the latter part of this week and we will get them from him and publish them next week. Mulberry Association The Mulberry Association is in ses sion this week at Appalaehee church near Auburn. It is one of the impor tant associations in the state and a large number of messengers will he present. Several Winder people will attend as correspondents. Mrs. Callie Hosch (tur Heavenly Father in His infinite wisdom has seen tit to take from us on September 20tli a beloved woman. Airs. Callie Hosch, aged 6s. Site was the mother o'f two sons. W. Al. and A. II Hosch, the latter preceding her some two years. Early in life she joined the .Method ist ehureli and was ever a faithful and devoted member, livNtg a life of ser-vico and shedding an influence for good and right. She was a lovable woman, trap mother, and all who knew her said, “She is a good woman.” or life was beautiful in character and her hands were never too tired to help those in sickness and distress. Her love and devotion to her family was unusual. She has erected a mon ument more lasting than cold marble. During the lust week of her life her illness was such as to cause intense suffering but her patience and submis sion were inspiring to the one who ministered to her. Many lives have been sweetened and euobled by her having lived. To her loved ones her life was too short, but the good Father does not estimate a life by months and years. Sleep, dear friend, the sleep of the just, as the redeemed through Christ .Jesus, ‘till the resurrection morn when you shall hear: "Well done, good and faithful one: enter now into the inher itance prepared for you from the foun dation of the world. W. L. Page. Airs. Lucy Jacks, is spending the week with her brother, Air. L. M. Wood. COTTON WINNINGS IN BARROW. Barrow county had ginned 4,732 hales of cotton up to September 25. 1021.
