ACADEMY There will be preaching at Sharon church Saturday night and Sunday and Bible class at 7 :3U Sunday night. Mr. Marion Vermillion and family \if North Carolina is visiting friends and relatives near this place. Mrs. Mary Sims and daughter, Dell, visited Mrs. J. M. Simpson Thursday. Mrs. Dora Boggs spent Saturday af ternoon with Mys. Fannie Little. Miss Alma Deaton spent Saturday night with Miss Estelle Bowles. Misses Laura Lancaster and Clem mie visited Mrs. Ella Lancaster Sun day morning. Mr. Ernest Parks spent Saturday night with Mr. Hilrie McEver of Hoscli ton. ( Misses Flora and Ina Sailors atend ed the fair at Gainesville last week. Misses Ermine and Ethel Simpson spent Sunday with Misses Alma and Irene Deaton. CHRISTIAN CHURCH The school of the church will meet at 10:15 A. M. The attendance has been growing in recent weeks but there is room for more. Every mem ber of the church ought to be in some Sunday school class. Every otae in the community who is not attending a Bible school which meets at this hour is invited to be with us. The Lord's Supper and sermon by Bro. Edwards at 11:20. You are sure to hear some splendid soul filling mes sage at this hour. The evening evangelistic sermon will be held at the usual hour 7 :30. The house will likely be tilled. Come early and enjoy the song service. The C. E. meets at <5:30. Last Sun day evening was the largest attendance that this society has ever had. AUBURN NEWS School at the Southeastern Christian College. Miss Lillie Mae Morrison entertain ed a few friends at a rook party Sat urday night. Miss Loren a Giles is spending awhile with her sister, Mrs. Emory Montgom ery of Lawreuceville. Messrs. Gay Ethridge and Otho Smith spent one day last week in Atlanta. There will be a box supper at the high school Wednesday night, Novem ber 23, everybody invited and will be welcomed. The Armistice program at the Southeastern Christian College was en joyed by a large audience. The three Sunday schools here are growing in interest. Miss Ara Williams who is teaching at Lawreuceville spent last week-end with tier father. Miss Grace Jacobs of Grayson was in our town Sunday. Messrs. Carson and Claud Williams who are attending school at A. & M. Monroe, were absent from town Sun day to our great surprise. Miss Jewell Pool spent Friday night with Miss Fay Wages. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. .T, A. Daniel. Misses Carmen Anderson and Ituhy Daniel and Mr. Hubert Daniel visited relatives in Hoseliton one day last week. Mr. Tom Wesley Peppers motored to Athens one day last week. We regret to lose Rev. S. P. Higgins who preached his farewell sermon at the Baptist church Sunday night. Miss Girdie Maxey spent a few days with her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Bud Maxey, recently. Barrow County Man Dies in Athens Hospital Athens, Gn. —G. A. Wall, aged 3!>, young Bftrrow county farmer, died at a local hospital Friday morning. His body was carried to Dorsey's funeral parlors and sent from there to Winder for funeral and interment.
