ried a policy with you and I wish to
thank you for the very prompt man
ner in which you paid the claim.
Proofs of his death were delivered
to you on Jan. 3rd and check for the
amount due was sent out by you on
the same evening.
I would like also to thank your rep
resentatives at Winder, Messrs. Ri
ley & Hosch, for their courteous as

claim.
It certainly is a great advantage,
dealing with a Home company and it
will always be a pleasure to me to do

A Good Judge.
Judge R. R. Burger, of the county
court of Oconee, a neighboring county,
the other day sentenced a white man,
who wan charged with having liquor
in his possession to pay a fine of $750
or serve 12 months in the chaingang.
At the same time he sentenced another
white man who was found guilty of
Helling liquor a straight 12 months
chaingang sentence.
This is the only way to handle the
liquor selling business in Georgia. We
commend Judge Burger's treatment of
these criminals. If all our judges
would do likewise, the nefarious whis
key traffic would almost disappear.

Dear Sir : •
We have just had an example in our neighborhood of
the prompt manner in which you pay claims under your
policies in the case of one of the young men of Winder,
Louis W. Jackson, who was accidentally killed while out
hunting last week.
The proofs of death in this case were completed and
filed with you on the 3rd inst. and on the same day were
approved by you and a check in settlement of the claim
was sent to your representatives at this point, Messrs. Itiley
& Hosch. for delivery to his mother, the beneficiary under
tbe policy.
Such promptitude of action is rendered possible by the
fact that The Southern States Life is a Home Company and
is in such close proximity to its policyholders that there is
no necessity for any delay.
Our people are well served hy you in every way. not
only in the payment of losses, but more especially in the
assistance rendered by you in the way of helping them to
keep their policies in force. Evidently “Service” is your
watchword. Yours very truly,
A. A. CAMP, President.
