Misses Pearl ami Lillian Lanier of Rethatmra were the week-end guests of Miss Tver Willingham. Miss Mary Perry spent Inst week in Winder as the guest relatives. Mrs. C. E. Niehelson was the week end guest of her son, A. L. Nicholson, of Atlanta. I)rs. ,T. C. Daniel and T. L. Holcomb at ten (led the medical association in Toeeoa last week. Mr. and Mrs. Eustace B. Sykes and little son, K. B. Junior. Atlanta were the week-end guests of relatives here. Mrs. J. W. Williams and J. W., Jr., were the week-end guests of Prof, and Mrs. J. \V. Williams at home of I)r. and Mrs. T. L. Holcomb. Miss Helen Arnold spent the week end with home folks. W. H. Hardigree of Athens was tnc guest of his family Sunday. Messrs. C. B. Chambers. J. W. Co dy and Prof. J. W. Williams were vis itors in Athens Saturday. Miss Mary Wafford of Good Hope is spending awhile here with her grand parents, -Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Wafford. Mrs. Tlieo Smith was here awhile Saturday with her aunt, Mrs. J. M. Boss. Miss Lollie Mae Hammond of Ath ens was the week-end guest of her mother, Mrs. Anna Hammond. H. H. Wall of Athens spent part of last week here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Wall. Little Miss Harriet Harper of Bogart •was the week-end guest of her grand mother. Mrs. Sue Harper, at the home of Mrs. R. A. Nunnall.v. G. J. Thurmond went down to At lanta this w<s>k on business. Mrs. Tempest Ward of Athens and her daughter, Mrs. Fred Barrett, for merly of Gainesville, but is leaving this week to make her home in Deland, Florida, was the week-end guest of Misses Callie and Ellen Hammond and Mrs. B. 11. Grant. The Womans Missionary Federation held Its first quarterly meeting at the Baptist church Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. W. M. Stinchcomb, chairman of the work, made it very interesting in her impressive way. Mesdames, J. C. Daniel. T. J. Sykes, P. L. Hutchinsn and others added much in making the meeting interesting after which re freshments were served. Avery happy occasion was the home coming of the children and grand chil dren nf Mr. and Mrs. W. M. C. Tread well on last Sunday, his tllst birthday. Great was the feast prepared by Mrs. Treadwell for this happy family re union, as each and everyone gathered around the old fireside of father and mother to talk of bygone days. As they tiled into the dining room with the table laden with everything tempt ing to the appetite: Baked o’possuxn, baked chicken, cranberry sauce, pics, and cakes, everything good to eat.
