to Dahlanega so often these days'
We've been wanting to go with him for
some time, but lie always sli*ps out the

Senator George A.
Johns A Candidate
For Another Term
v. _
The Tribune is authorized to state
that Hail. George A. Johns, v f
Winder, will be a candidate to sue
c;ed Twenty-Seventh District.
Die Twenty-Seventh District.
Judge Johns is serving his tirst term
■u the Senate and has made one of the
driest representatives that the district
has ever had in that body. It is signifi
cant that at the recent Senatorial con
vention held in Monroe the rule of rota
tion was so changed as to allow each
county to furnish the Senator for two
onseeutive terms. The Tribune is
glad that the rule was so amended and
delighted at the prospect that Senator
Johns will succeed himself. He should
not have any opposition, and very like
ly will not have.
The formal announcement of Senator
Johns will appear in The Tribune at
an early date—Walton Tribune.
REV. W. H. FAUST.
Rev. W. H. Faust left the First Bap
tist church of Winder, July Ist, to be
come "the pastor of the Gordon Street
Baptist church, Atlanta.
Brilliant of intellect, cultured and
refined of heart and soul, he easily
/found his place—a leader not only in
his own church and city, hut over the
whole association, as well. His advice
leadership and Christian counsel were
appreciated and helpful, especially to
tile W. M. U. and the organizations
which the union fosters. The Womans
Missionary Society of the church which
he so splendidly pastured for nine
years, feel very keenly the of his
consecrated Christian gentleman and
vet this sadness tarries With it a rea
sonable joy in that we believe he has
entered into a field of larger useful
ness.
Therefore, we the committee from
the Winder W. M. S. feeling keenly the
absence of bis genial fellowship and
wise counsel, wish to give expression
to our profound appreciation of his
ministry among ns: of <>ur deep e
-gret that he has left us. at the same
time assuring him of our. sineerest in
terest in him and Ids future, work, com
mending him to those in his new field
of labor as one whom they may safely
follow and one in whose church life
there is nothing else to he desired in
the loyalty of his attendance and in
his response to church duties.
