FAUST y ■ Some ht us are constrained that it is easier to be popular than it is to he useful. § If Christ used stories to carry home great, truths it would be well for min isters to profit by his example. The fellow who writes much and studies hard will seldom be laid on (he shelf too early In his ministry. 8 The man who puts little of himself into His message, puts little of his message into someone else. § The pastor who listens with real joy to praise of ids predecessor is fully capable of preaching on the sub ject of sanctification. § Preaching in the church has a vast deal to do with the kind of members a eliureh lias on its roll. § You can tell offhand the names of all the world's preachers who have been popular and read continually their serraonia productions. § The preacher who puts off working tiis sermons until Saturday will soon find his members putting off attendance on Sunday. 8 Some preachers find it easier to get a reputable reputation than to get rid of a bad one. Therefore he careful of your conduct. § Moving pastors like rolling stones gather no moss, but some of them ac quire a vast deal of knowledge and a great, fund of information as they move About from place to place. 8 There is a mighty difference between human fuss and spiritual force. 8 You can kill a thing by allowing its friends to discuss it too much or its enemies to cuss it too much. 8 No man has any more right to bring up his children without books than he has to build his home without win dows. 8 Good roads are evidences of civiliza tion, had ones of foolism. RAILROAD ISSUES CARD TO ITS PATRONS& PUBLIC To the Patrons of the Gainesville Mid land Railway: On July 2(irli the daily papers indi cated that the Interstate Commerce Commission had ordered all freight traffic the direct routes, which will possibly have the effect of diverting some traffic from the Gainesville Mid land. I immediately wired the Com mission in regard to to tliis. anil re ceived a prompt reply that no traffic was to lie diverted from the GGaines'- j j ville Midland Railway, unless it was in case of some congestion on our line. We, of course, have not liad or an ticipate any congestion tin our line, be cause there is no strike or labor troubles with us. We are not only in position to handle freight traffic prompt ly, but any traffic that may be delay ed on other lines might well be divert ed to the Gainesville Midland Railway for prompt handling, and our connec tions have been advised accordingly. Tlie movement of traffic with the Gainesville Midland is very light in deed. and I earnestly request that all patrons of our road do everything they can to throw all 1 business possible to the Gainesville Midland Railway. Wo are advised that onr connections are handling all traffic without delay. Yours very truly. WBV-B W. B. VEAZEY, Receiver. Cause of Appendicitis any aspect of kindergarten education.
