CHRISTIAN CHURCHES MAKE
SUBSTANTIAL OFFERING TO
COLLEGE AT AUBURN, GA.
Corinth, Good Hope and Mount Ver
non, three of the best rural churches
of the county of the Christian persua
sion, are receiving liberal praise and
thanks for the great interest taken in
the Christian College at Auburn.
For some days Pastor T. O. Slaugh
ter, ably assisted by Mr. 11. Grady
Mc.Gaughey, has been presenting the
needs of this institution to the church
es mentioned and succeeded in getting
it on the hearts of many who readily
and happily responded with some gift
that will be good for man and beast —
several hundred dollars’ worth of home
products, embracing corn, peas, pota
toes, meal, meat, canned goods and
many other things, including a live pig.
There was a big truck full and an
automobile full and this, with Pastor
Slaughter and Mr. McGaughey in
charge, was delivered to the school last
Friday.
We are informed that when the ton
nage of good things was delivered
there was great rejoicing—that col
lege yells that had a real meaning, were
made in earnest. —Walton News.

There are two highly important points for
a man to consider before having his car over
hauled:
The first point is to assure himself that the
men who are groing to work on his car are
mechanics expert enough to locate and prop r
erly repair the parts that need attention.
The second point is to convince himself that
he can trust the shop to Rive him an honest
accounting of the amount of work that was
actually done on the car.
We gladly welcome an investigation on both
of these points. We have the facilities, the
mechanics and the business methods that
will more than satisfy all who investigate.
