“Retuni imto me and I will return
unto you—sait\ the Lord of hosts” —
Who Believes It?
“The Ordinance of Baptism” is the
jmstor s theme for next Lord’s Day lit
11 nml ‘''Hie Parable of the Tal
ents,” for 7:30. Every member, young
and old. should hear the morning *er
mon which will lie along the doctrinal
lines planned by the 75 Million Oam
pnign. That man in town who is bury
ing his talent in a napkin should hear
the evening sermon.
The principal reason why anyone
should Go to Church next Sabbath is to
engage in tlte Public Worship of (hid.
The man who wilfully stays from
church on the Sahhath is not exercis
ing the highest citizenship nor the tru
< st patriot ism.
Our iample are urged to co-operate
heartily in the special evangelistic
service- f allowing the Christian En
deavor convention. Every real revival
greatly blesses everybody and every
Interest in the community.
“Does America Need the Gospel”
Will he the midweek topic for next Wed
nesday evening.
A number of our women are this week
attending the Georgia Womens Mission-
ary Fnion in Atlanta. Prominent
speakers and thrilling programs liavo
filled tho hours with good things that
will stimulate 1 the work throughout the
coining yenr.
Sunday was a high day with the First
ehurcli, when more than $1200.00 was
hilariously raised and about SIIOO.OO
of the amount paid in, within a few
minutes to liquidate every dollar of the
church's indebtedness. The greatest
thing about it all was the high spiritu
al favor that glowed in every heart
and made men and women and children
weep and rejoice to the Lord in a most
Micrjflcial way. One noble boy went
home while the offering was being made
and got bis hardly-earned and careful
ly saved radio money and brought it
and tint it—ss.oo in amount—into the
land's treasury. A number of other
hoys and girls and young people like
wise made praiseworthy gifts to God.
