Christian Endeavor In Southeastern Christian College, Auburn, Ga. For real Christian Endeavor spirit, the Southeastern Chris,ian college En deavors have it, and Saturday evening December lfith. the boys and girls in this institution proved that they could entertain in a most delightful manner. The Endeavors gathered in owe of the society meeting rooms ahout 8:00 o’clock and many games and contests were enjoyed and most of all, the mu sic furnished by Miss Finley on the piano added much to the passing of the evening. C. E. songs were sung and afterwards candies, hot chocolates and cakes were served. O. L. Johnson, presii.n* of North east Georgia Christian Endeavor Un ion. Athens, Ga„ Charles Harris, vice president of the District work. Win der, Ga„ -and C. J. Morris, president of Christian Church Society, Athens, Ga were guests of this social affair. The students of this college have a wonderful way of doing things and /they seem as one big family. On Sunday morning, the hoys and girls came from their homes on the campus to the big academic building and there they have a real Sunday school with members of the faculty serving „s teachers. After Sunday school, the Mission Band, composed of boys and girls who are planning definite reli gious work have a meeting and there discourse plans for better service. Sun day, December 17tli. the band were much interested in “Helping others which was so appropriate just at Christmas time. Plans were made to help several needy families by donat ing clothes and caps for the children. After Sunday school had ended, the boys and girls are invited to the par lors of the girls dormitory and there they engage in a song with everyone living some part. Sunday afternoon, the Endeavors met in the Sunday school room whore President G. L. Johnson, gave a short talk on “Sunshine in <*ir every day life” and urged the young people to make this Christmas happier than any ever before. Mr. Johns.au mso made brief mention of the monthly service program which is so enhusiasticaUy worked with Dixie Endeavors. Last but not least, comes the Chris tian Endeavor meeting which is held at 7:00 o’clock on December 17th, the Endeavors gave a real Christmas pro gram willi Miss Loot a McKinney and Miss Jones singing a beautiful duet. The C. E. meeting at the college are always filled with good talks and sing ing and those young people are hand ed together for stronger Christian ser vice. Mr. Robert AnGio tv, of Augusta, Ga., is president .if the society; Mi-s Julia Crossfleld, of Gadsen, Ala.. serves as vice-president, and not a better worker could he found for this great place in Christian Endeavor work i(i tin' college. Miss Leota Mc- Kinney, who hails from Jacksonville, Fin., is the enthusiastic secretary and is a credit for any society to claim, since she has the spirit along with the other students and with her deep con secration does much work for the col lege organization. A day at Southeastern Christian College is like a day in spring. Every body happy, cheerful and gay and those who pass wonder why the stu dents are in this mood nnd the an swer comes, “We are expecting to fiave a greater, bigger and better col lege for the Southland in 1923.
