We truly hope that Mr. Smith of Red

fatally. Times are mighty hard to dis

Chopping and burning wood is the
order of the day here. It's about all one
can do just now, as the hail weather

the snow and sleet will chill Mr. 801 l
Weevil a wee bit.
Mr. and Mrs. J. I). Carter and son,
Johnnie, of near County Line, were the
guests of Mr. Clifton Carter and family
Sunday.
People will have something to talk
'about, and that’s all right. Yet, it looks
ns though they could find something of
I importance that would be interesting
to every one they meet, without prying
I into other people's business, for that
which is everybody's business is no

I be.
Mr. L. F. Jackson seems to be going

Hon. Robert McMillan, solicitor gen
eral of the Northeast Ga. circuit, will
speak at the regular hour of worship
in the Winder Presbyterian church on
next Sunday, February 11. Col. Mc-
Millan is not a regular preacher, but
he can preach and that is the difference
between him and some preachers. This
distinguished gentleman Ims been for
years prominent in church and state;
he is coming all the way from his home
to bring a message, and it will be a
good one. If you are not planning to
worship lsewhere, Ik- at the Presbyte
rian church at 11:30.
Taylor Morton, Pastor.
The churches of Winder are contem
plating simultaneous evangelistic ser
vices to bfiijin April 22. It is by no
means too early to begin planning and
praying definitely for them. God waits
to lie gracious, all of us need to be
strengthened spiritually and many souls
in Winder do not know Jesus Christ in
the forgiveness of their sins. It is
Christ or chaos with individuals, cities
and countries. Just now the world
seems about ready to destroy itself,
and Christianity is - the only hope. The
world is very sick, but the great phy
sician is ail sufficient. Let’s call him
in.—Taylor Morton, See. Min. Union.
