Mr. and Mrs. W. I>. Nash had as their guests Sunday their brother, Mr. Nash, of Athens. K. C. Arnold left Sunday for Mo bile, Ala., where he has accepted a po sition. He will move is family later. Mrs. W. I). Bolton of El!Orton, Mrs. J. C. Cooper and Mrs. E. M. Smith of Athens were called to the bedside of their mother, Mrs W. D. McDonald, who was seriously ill, but is improving slowly. J. F. Burson of Fiber ton spent the week end here with his parents. Mrs. Ellen Dooly, Robert Autry, were the guests of Mrs. At Coker of Athens for the week end. Miss Velma Cody returned home last Sunday after spending some time in Atlanta with relatives. Prof, and Mrs. J. W. Williams en tertained at dinner Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Allen Day of Atlanta spent Sunday here with friends. OLD COUNTY LINE Rev. Frank Jackson from Atlanta delivered an excellent sermon at Beth abra last Sunday. We are very sorry to learn of the death of Mr. Willie .Boss. He was burled at Bethabra Monday afternoon. We sympathize with the relatives in their bereavement. Mr. E. W. Maxey spent Saturday night with home folks. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Cooper spent last Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. 11. A. Dil lard. Miss Arara Attaway spent Sunday night with Miss Bertie House. We notice in the Banner-Herald an article stating that a party from Ath ens would visit the Mud Volcano near Winder. It is located near Chapel on Mr. J. h. Harris' place and is a mystery to all. If they would read G. J. N. Wilson’s history of Jackson county, it would tell them of the dreadful things that happened then* in the long ago.
