Ross has accepted a position at Loganville as cashier of the bank there. He spent the week end with his family here. Mrs. C. E. Xickelson left Saturday for a trip to Jacksonville. St. Augus tine and other points in Florida. R. B. Arnold from Tnlbotton is here for a few days with his father. G. N. Arnold. Miss Pearlie Hammond returned from an Athens hospital last Friday to the delight of her many friends. Rev. W R. McDonald of Ma.vsville was the guest of his sister, Mrs. Anna Hammond Monday. Rev. S. Walker of Monroe delivered two very able sermons at the Baptist church Sunday a. m. and evening. After thirteen weeks in a hospital at Gainesville, Mrs J. T. Lancaster is home, and her friends are glad to have her again. Mrs. W. M. Fite. Miss Ruth Fite* and Mrs. Jane Johnson spent part of last week in the country with relatives. Singers from all parts of the county were present and we had some real good singing. Every one seemed to have a good time and enjoyed tin* occasion to the fullest extent. We invite them to come again in tin* near future. Our Sunday school was postponed Sunday on account <;f the singing. Ev eryone is urged to be present next Sun ] day afternoon.
