A Word To The Public.
1 HERE has been so many sales in this section for the past few flionths---some
of which have been a disappointment to the public, and for fear people
might confuse this sale with others we feel like giving the following ex
planation: It was a question with us to decide whether to go to the ex
pense of removing this great stock and storing it away in some warehouse
and take the risk of carrying it over until next winter or to put on this
% sacrifice sale. Of course this sale will mean a loss of many dollars to us
but the loss will be comparitively small to the cost of moving and storing
this Great Stock away. Hence we decided to put this
Great Slaughter Sale On.
