Jesus said unto His disciples.af
ter they had gone fishing all nigh
and had caught noliting, nd wer
tired and hungry: “Children
have ye any meat?” Jno. 21:5.
They answered, “No.” And He
said unto them. “Cast your net
■on the right side of tin* ship, and
ve Khali find. 71 This they did
and caught a multitude of fishes.
And when they came to the land,
they foutnd a fire of coals and
laid thereon a nd bread And the\
did eat and were filled. Jesus
said unto Peter: “Simon, son
of Jonas, lovest thou Me?” This
no doubt caused Peter to think of
his denial just a few days before
this, when Jesus was being tried
before the wicked council in Jeru
salem. Peter answered: “Yea,
Lord; Thou knowest that Ii love
Thee.” W
Jesus said: “Peed iny lambs. ’
The children of ’ God are
spoken of by Jesus as lambs"”
and “sheep.” Certainly there’s
to be a lamb before there can be
t a sheep, there has to be a drop
of water before there can be an
ocean, there has to be a grain of
sand before there can be an earth
a nd there has to be a child before
there can be a man. The same
reasoning could be carried on
throughout God’s creation. All
great things have their beginning
in smaTTtkings. ,
Jesus commanded Peter first
to feed His “Lambs.’ After this
He commanded him twice to feed
His “Sheep.”. They were first
lambs, and after having had the
proper food and care they grew t
to be sheep.
In those days, they were accus
tomed to keeping large flocks of
sheep. In those flocks there
were both lambs and sheep. The
shepherd had to watch the flock
both day and night to keep the
wolf from coming and catching
the lambs and destroying the
!fl!ock.
. If there were “lambs and sheep
in God’s kingdom then, is it not
-trv.e that there are the same in
church today? Or has the
fnurch of God ceased to grow?
If there are no lambs being born
into t!ie kingdom of God or the

speak is what they call. a nice,
clean square dance, which they
say they do for exercise or past
time. Of course there are no
other ways to take exercise or
pass a,way the precious moments
which God has given us, only in
the dance hall. They have for
gotten that Jesus said: “Take
up his cross daily and follow hie
Luk. 9:23. Of course that means
to lay it down at night and go to
the dance, or that is what they
say by their actions. Listen,
Ye cannot serve Oou and mam
men.” Luke 16:13. You can
not take the cross of Christ upon
you and follow him daily, if you
visit the dance hall. Because Je
sus did not visit such places of
vice. Yet that old serpent has
gone in the homes of some of our
church officers, the elders and
Idleacojis so called and has torn
from the flock of God’s children
some of the little lambs which
were/ in their care, by making
them believe there is no t harm
in dancing.
It has been said by one of our
great writers: “It is not the fal
len girl in the brothel who induce
the gfrl of purity to walk in her
but it is the dance hall
and other places of amusements
that often leads to vice and pre
sent the first temptation." By
such means as this the Devil is
peopling hell. Hence Isaiah said
“Hell hath enlarged herself, and
opened her mouth! without meas
ure ; and their glory, and their
multitude, and their pomp, and
he that rejoioeth, shall descend
into it. ” —lsa. 5 :14. i
There are other things that are
juat as as the ones which I
have mentioned. But I only have
time to name them. They are ns
follows: “Ball Games,” “Skat
ing Biliks?” “Pool Room,” Bil
liard Tables,” and the “Track
Team” where those who take
part dress absolutely indecent,and
are not fit to appear in public in
such a costume as they wear. And
yet our so called church members,
some of them let their children
take part in it i Because they
have been completely taken in by
Satan until they claim there is no
harm in it. Many of these are
God’s lambs whom Satan is
catching out of the fold, and
spoiling the flock.
Parents. Teachers, Preachers,
and Elders in the church of God
over which God hath made yoi
overseers, how long are you going
to sleep,and allow this destructive
work to go on without raising
your voice against such, when
the precious lambs of God are
being sacrificed on these ajtars
of sin and vice'?
We are crying out against Ca
tholicism, and pleading with the
Protestant Religious bodies to
ilnite their forces against it, and
at the same time practicing thing:
that Were born in Catholicism in
our midst. It is time my friends
to wake up, and raise your voices
against this mhcb dreaded foe-
And thus prevent the lambs of
God from 1 ebing captured by the
one, and thus protect the
church which Jesus purchased
with. His own blood, which is on
ly your reasonable duty.

Has Pl:n to Submit to the Nex*
General Assembly Concerning
State’s Property in Tennessee.
Atlanta Ga. March 12 —Promi-
nent state house officials and flier
b us of the Georgia Assembly ex
press the opinion that the effort
of Tennessee’s legislature to con
demn the property of the state of
Georgia in Chattanoga in order !<
cut a street through it, will make
Georgia’s property in the Ten
nessee city even more valuable
than it now is, provided Georgia
takes a proper advantage of the
new condition. The idea of
these Georgians is to lease sep
arately the unimproved property
of the state, making the trans
action independent of what is
done with, the W. & A. Railroad
property. A proposition of this
kind carrying out ideas formulat
ed by Senator W. J. Harris, will
be submitted to the incoming
legislature and will, it is under
stood, receive the formal endorse
ment of Governor John M. Sla
ton. ‘
An effort will be made this
*/ea,r to carry out the program
formulated by Senator Harris
and his colleagues bust year, to
oreate ■> a W. & A. commission.
The bill passed the senate last
year, but the session closed be
fore it Could be put through the
house. Consequently the measure
will be newly introduced to the
assembly this year. Estimates
are now being shown at the eapi
tol to prove that the revenues of
the unimproved proprty, if leased
separately, would be equal to
the revenues from the road itself.
In addition, it is proposed that
the substantial buildings which
Would naturally be put up by
lessees, shall revert in a long
course of time to the state of
Georgia. Tile general plan out
lin'd here has already received
the approval of Mr. Slaton, and
the whole W. & A. problem will
probably be settled during his
administration. Under the pres
ent lease, which runs out in six
years, the L. & N. now pays the
state $35,000 a month in rent,
which goes to the public school
fund.
