Lawrence Cooper, of Toccoa, Grasps
High Cower Wires.
Lawrence Cooper, the 10-year-old
son of Rev. L. A. Cooper, pastor of
the First Baptist (jjiurch, Toccoa, Ga.,
was accidentally electrocuted.
Lawrence, with several little play
mates, was in the rear of the parson
ape on top of the chicken house. The
electric lipht wires were only three
feet above. In a spirit of play Law
rence reached up and caught both
wires in his hands at the same time,
and immediately dropped dead, his
hands being badly burned. The wires
were charged with 2,300 volts of elec
tricity.

The Augusta-Aiken Railway and
Electric corporation is building a
SIOO,OOO distributing station in An
gusta for the new power plant of the
company at Stevens creek. About
32,000 horsepower will be distributed
in Augusta and vicinity.
The home of Albert G. Foster was
destroyed by fire at Madison. His
loss is partially covered by insurance.
Mr. Foster is solicitor of the city
court of Madison.

jail, confessed burglars of the country
home of George S. Lombard.
