Three Families in One.
Mr, J. (). Ilardigree is the cham
pion hee finder. Last week he no
ticed hers playing aholit an old
white oak tree on his plantation,
and as syrup is not the best this sea
son of the year, In decided he would
try for a little honey, lie had the
tree cut and found three families of
decs together with their storehouses.
He robbed them of their treasure,
about fifteen pounds, furnished
them new homes and they have
started to work to rebuild, seeming
ly not discouraged by the interfer
ence.

Athletzrc Association Elects Man
ager and Captain for 1913.
At a recent meeting of the Win
der Athletic Association, .Mr. L.
S. Radford was selected to man
age the Winder Baseball team
this season and Mr. Henry Pled
ger was chosen as captain.
Many of the boys are practic
ing and getting ready to qualify
on the team. •' 1
Captain Pledger has plenty of
material from which to pick a
cracking good local taein, and
Winder is ready to hack the
sport.
The days are getting long and
there is plenty of time to prac
tire. Let all aspirants for posi
tions on the team meet the man
ager and captain at the Park
for practice. By the middle of
May we should he in shape to
entertain all comers.
