Mrs. G. A. Johns Entertains At
a Shower for Miss O’Neal.

All the rooms were thrown open

punch and sandwiches by Mes
dames Bradley, Dunn and Jack
son after which the guests regis
tered in the bride’s book. Mrs.
Potts sang “I love, I love” and
Miss Ora Lee Camp sang “Tib
have, to hold, to love” and as
Mrs. Bradley softly played “O
promise m*” little Sunie Johns
and Mary Lamar Jackson carry
ing immense bouquets of sweet
pea-i came in drawing a beautiful
little pink wagon loaded with
gifts and a miniature trunk for
the bride-to-be. Gifts were many
and beautiful. Little Alice Eugene
Dunn passed a tray of band-painted
cards with a flower contest on them,
after’the guests were asked to write
suggestions for the bride and deli
cious ices were served. The de
parting guests were presented with
minature suit cases tilled with rice
which they showered upon the
bride-to-be as she left. About fifty
guests enjoyed the hospitality of
Mrs. Johns and all voted her a de
lightful hostess.
Travel Shower.
The Wo-Ha-Los were hostesses
at a beautiul party given to Miss
Gussie O’Neal on Tuesday after
noon at the home of Miss Mari<
Smith on Broad street. The oc
casion was a Travel Shower each
guest presenting the bride-to-be
with a silver coin in a hag of,rice
This to be used to buy souveniers
during the journey.

There will be a book shower at
the Reading Room in the Winder
Bank Ihiseday evening, June
10th from 8 to 10 o’clock. Chil
dren in the afternoon 5 to 7. YOT

guest this week, liis brother, Hon.
Josiah Blasingnme and wife, Mrs.
\V. D. Barrett, Mrs. .T A McFarity,
of Jersey, and Mrs. ,J. A. Cook, of
Social Circle. The ladies of the par
ty will remain for several days as
houseparty guest.
