Sharp Points
Miss Ina Moore was the charm
ing hostess to the Sharp Points
Thursday afternoon from 5 to 7 at
her home on Bush avenue. Miss
Moore entertained the members
present most delightfully on the
spacious veranda of her home,
which was artistically decorated
with pot plants and cut flowers.
During the afternoon several select
ed piano and vocal solos were ren
dered by Misses Robinson and
Quillian. Late in the afternoon a
most delightful ice course was serv
ed by Miss Thelma Moore.
Miss Elma Mathews delightfully
etnertaiued the Sharp Ponits this
afternoon. All the members were
present. Delightful conversations,
sewing and a delicious ice ice course
added to the enjoyment of this oc
casion.
In Honor of Miss Manita Bullock.
One of the most enjoyable af
fairs at which the little folks have
been entertained was the one given
by Miss Desma Elder in honor of
Miss Manita Bullock of Danielsville
Monday afternoon.
Miss Desma’s guests assembled at
her home at 4; 30 aud went to Mc-
Cants’ Grove, where a delightful
picnic lunch was served.
At 6 o’clock a wagon called for
them and the merry party went for
a straw ride over the city. About
fifteen boys and girls were guests
on this occasion,
Visitors Honored,
Mist Edna Hayes Foy entertained
a number of young people Tuesday
evening in honor of Misses Myrtice
Peters, of Monrce, and Afnnelle
Thrasher of Ashburn. The guests
were served punch by Misses Lena
Jones and Florence Foy. The punch
bowl was decorated with ferns and
pink roses. Prgroessiye conversation
was played until a late hour when
a delicious ice course was served.
About thirty young people were
preseent.

Dies In Scotland
Athens, Ga., July 22. —A cable
gram from Dundee, Scotland, an
nounces tlie death this morning in
that pace of Mr. B. W. McGregor,
for many years a leading bus
iness man of this city, and the
head of the D. VV. Mcgregor com
pany, a large book, stationery and
printing office concern. He was
some years ago engaged in the stat
ionery business in Atlanta. A few
weeks ago he left Athens for Scot
land to recuperate failing health.
He is survived by his wife and
Miss Jessie Mcgregor, bis daughter.
Miss Hill Entertains
Miss Ruby Hill was charming
hostess of a lawn party last Friday
evening in honor of Misses Alma
Hosch, Lucile Briscoe and Myrtice
Peters, her house guests.
Punch was served on the lawn by
Miss Annette Hamilton.
Progressive conversation was the
game of the evening. At a late hour
a delightful ice course was served.
