Maps Out Program of Work for
Georgia Chamber of Commerce.
Atlanta, Ga., Nov. 25 —How the
Georgia Chamber of Commerce
will map out a definite State —
wide programme of the work for
thel (next three years, is told by
President 0. Jl. Haden, in an in
terview given to the press today.
iThe State Chamber will devote
much of its time to the better
ment of marketing conditions for
the Georgia Farmer,
i “The development of Georgia
is a monumental task,” said Pres
ident Haden. “It is no on e -man
jo,b. No set bf individuals can
"hope to accomplish 1 it. It is
worthy of the combined result
producing efforts of every able
bodied Georgian.
“Broadly speaking, the Geor
gia Chamber of Commerce has
for its dominant purpose the ad
vancement of the welfare of Geor
gia; the promotion of its agricul
ture ; the improvement of general
conditions _within its limits and is
protection from unjust attack at
home and abroad.
“ Specificaly stated, the aims
and objects of any given section
of the State, or of any group of
individuals looking towards bet
terment of any character, are the
aims 4nd objects of the Georgia
Cmamber of Commerce.

buillding of the State of Georgia
will be the spirit—the vision—
the enthusiasm of its people. The
Georgia Chamber of Commerce
will inculcate “the Georgia Idea’
the breasts of Georg ans. It
will seek to give them ' vision

district and county fairs,the State
Department of Education—these
and many more have been organ
ized alnd are actively engaged in
bettering conditions in as many
different directions.
“The Georgia Chamber of Com
will co-operate with each
and every one of these agencies
good. /' The fact that it has
already met with the unqualified
approval and support of many of
them, is e<|nvdnei|ng proof that
it will have a state-vride field in
which to work. '
“A s soon as the officials of
thei Georgia Chamber of Com
merce have conferred with repre
sentatives of the various sister
agencies throughout the State, a
definite programm of work will
be adopted) and adherred to. Gen
erally speaking, however, the
Chamber will work for better ma)
keting conditions; better roads
and hijghways; a better school
system; a better credit system
for farmer and merchant; diver
sification in crops and county
wi'de, organizations for mutual
benefit fin each county. Above
all, the Georgia Chamber of Com
merce will carry on a consistent
land intelligent campaign whose
slogan will be Georgia Products
