LOVE IS GOD-GOD IS LOVE.
(C. M. Thompson.)
Twice two is four, or twice two is
*qual to four. According to oik* way
of reasoning, things which are equal
to each other are equal to the same.
tJlod is love, God is equal to love the
love is God and love is equal to (kid.
In other words that which we love
becomes our God. Now, God is a
spirit, therefore, those who would
worship him must worship him in
spirit and truth. Then God is I>ove.
Ix>ve is a spirit, therefore, they who
love should love in spirit. Then again
4Jod made the world and all therein.
Ood is love. Love made a world and
ell therein. Has love made you a
world. IHd Gain lose his love when
he slew his brother. He lost his God
Did Moses lose his love when he
slew the Egyptian. The people had
become wicked it was needful to
drown all but a few and were they
the only ones who possessed love.
They had all turned away from God
save Noah and his family. If God
is love why not eliminate God in such
a manner as to use his name In .1
true revontial maimer as become!!)
him, showing the respect of acr ;
lure to his creator. If love is Go!
why not use this word more and nut
djefile thy lips by tin* careless 41 se o'
the name of God.
Gd the spirit so loved the world
that he sent his only son to suffer
an ignominious death on tin* cros:
that man might be redeemed from
what. In this love the spirit could
have control over the carnal mind
and lead man to know true love. Tim
carnal mind is ever antagonistic to
the spiritual mind. God is love. la>\
.struck Paul blind until Ananias
preached to him. Then his eyes wer
opened and he became a worshipper
at the shrine of true love.
Love made the disciples of .It sits
bear all kinds of sufferings for his
sake. Now I am convinced that as
we understand today the things w<-
take to be burdens were no burdens
whatever to the disciples for love
took all the weight and instead of .1
burden they became a pleasant task.
James and Lucy, your children and
almost the idol of your heart, puts
you to many hardships to keep neoe.-;
sities and luxuries for them. This
load is no weight to you for you
love them. (<od is love.
You can swim dangerous streams
and stride through smoke and fir 1 '
without complaint for their sake.
This is love.
<!od so fashioned in his wisdom
the flowers of the hillsides and val
leys. the river and oceans filled
with fish and the mountain with its
timbers and minerals, all for the
pleasure of man. Man fashions hi•?
beautiful homes, gardens and meadow.
Ilk* prepares a dainty table of the
sweetest viands and places the prop
er environment (or least should) for
the pleasure of his offspring.
Love is the key that opens the way
which prompts men—God is love—is
ticHi the key. Man has gone almost
the limit it seems in inventions along
the line of amusements for the pleas
ure that he hopes his offspring to
have. He has spent his hard earned
cash to build magnificent .churches
surrounded by beautiful yards and
artistically furnished in the interior
where there can be church and social
gatherings. Me has built buggies, wag
ons, carriages, autos and railroads
that his offspring might easily go from
place to place to learn more of the
world Cod (or love) made for man.
He has prepared great ships to float
upon the water and the aeroplane to
sail through the air. All for love.
Man has organized into various kinds
f social bodies for betterments, all
for love. Now what has he done to
the reverse, because of hate.
The opposite to Love is Hate, and
the opposite to God is Satan (Devil.)
Then the Devil is Hate, therefore,
Hate must be the Devil. Now those
who worship at the Devil's shrine
must be in possession of Hate. That
this influence might increase in as
great a fashion as would please his
satanic majesty, the Devil, lie en
couraged a character we shall call
lnfatuoso to wed Violent Passion
and from this union there sprang
forth five sons: Diabolus, Iniquitous,
Nefarious, Pernicious and Covetous.
There were five cousins of these
characters all girls born of Calumnia
tor and Traducer. Their names are
Miss I*rimp, Miss Pride, MJs6 Vain,
Mias Spite and Miss Avarice. Now,
each son of Infatuous and Violent
Passion took for a wife a daughter of
GaJuniinator and TYaducer, and be
gan the great works of his Majesty,
the Devil. They increased very rap
idly and soon the whole world save
Noah and his family were in their
control. Even in this famiily Covetu
ous and Vain had left an influence
which prevented the lineage of this
line from being swept entirely away.
1 will now tell you of a few of the
great events brought about by their
works.
Their influence has made the thorn
yjr every rose, a bitter for every
sweet, and a sorrow for every joy.
They have made the thistle and the
'cheat to grow and crowd out the
wheat and corn growth. They have
given sadness where gladness should
reign supreme, and dispair where
hope should dwell. They have forced
thjo carnal mind where the spiritual
should be' and brought about eternal
doom of woe, when everlasting happi
ness should fall to man’s lot.
They have brouglu on famine and
governments. They have maele kings
and eiueeiis to err anej fall from their
powerful influence. They have made
1 drunk and caused them to slay
their love, the wife and innocent baby.
They steal from men their good rep
utation and force the innocent 10
serve in bonds and chains. They lie
in wait for the daughters of men and
make slaves of them for the dollar
sake, and that they may add to the
power and influence of his sataiPc
majesty, the Devil. They spend the
night in reveling that they may the
easier catch, the sons and daughters
o 1 love who at this hour are rest
ing.
I'hei'e was one holy war, that was
Heaven, and these characters
were cast out.
And each war we now have is the
work of these cast-outs and offspring
of which I have been speaking. Thes
characters more often dress in the
best of style near to that of the sons
■of love. They are often seen in
the church and Sunday school and a
betterment gathering, never failing
tlr> speak out his objections. They
keep a front seat where disrespect
able show are pulled off. You can
find a throng upon the sideways that
lead to the questionable sections of
any town. There they are smiling,
gigling and miniicing melodies that
they hope will catch some son or
daughter of love.
The ways of this class is broad an
reach to earth’s remotest bounds.
fThey are here, do you go arm in
arm with them or do you stand aloof
from such influences.

POT ASH
FERTILIZERS
Swift & Company have provided sufficient German
Potash for their estimated needs of their customers. The
cost was high, but their customers’ needs must be sup
plied. The present POTASH market, spot cash, is 75c per unit of
POTASH higher than the farmer is paying for Potash in
SWIFT’S FERTILIZERS
Besides this, the farmer can absolutely rely on the highest crop
making materials being used in Swift’s Red Steer Fertilizers—Acid
Phosphate made by the Swift process Blood and Cattle Tankage from the Swift
Packing Plants thoroughly cured and conditioned no rotten bags.
This explains why so many Swift Customers insist they get fifteen to fifty pounds
more lint cotton per acre than from the next best brand. Fifteen pounds more cotton
per acre equals $6.00 per ton saved on fertilizers used. Thus:
Fifteen pounds more cotton per acre at 8c equals $1.50 \
One ton fertilizer covers five acres, equals 6.00
Therefore, $6.00 per ton saved —and more than this when less than 400 pounds of fertilizer
per acre is used. Figure it out yourself and then insist on getting SWIFT’S RED STEER ANIMAL
AMMONIATED FERTILIZER from your dealer.
