ducted the funeral services. She was
a sister of Mrs. Sara Ann Lindsay
and county commiesiorer R. E. Hill
She was a lovely Christian character
and possessed a sweet and sunny dis
position, which endeared her to all

cere sympathy.
The Auburn division of the Barrow
County Sunday School Association,
held its first meeting at the Meth
odist church here Sunday afternoon.

ed over the meeting. Mr. Dan West

the music. Mr. Claud Mayne of \Y in
der, president of the Association,
and E,. A. Starr, of Winder, secreta

much to the life and interest of the
occasion.
Prof. A. J. Fleming of Perry-Rain
ey Institute, gave a splendid address
on the subject: The Duty of Home
to the Sunday School.
Rev. N. D. Meadow, superintendent
of Auburn Christian school, rind Mr.
Louis E. Biakov, supeur.tcndent of
school, responded to the
subject: The Best Feature of My
School, with excellent talks. Mr. Har
ris, of Sharon, was present and spoke
in behalf of the school at that place.
The Auburn Methodist school made
the best showing of any school in
the division, and it is one of the
best and largest schools in this sec
tion of the county'. That this is true
is due almost entirely to the faith
ful and consecrated effort of Mr.
R. A. Ethridge, who was for years
superintendent of this school. Thru
years of faithful devotion he has
succeeded in obtaining the hearty co
operation of the church membership
and in bringing the school up to its
present high standard. The Auburn
Christian Sunday school has the best
record in attendance of any school
in the division, and we doubt wheth
er any school in the county or in
the state can make a better showing
in proportion to its church member
ship. Taken as a whole this was one
of the most interesting meetings of
the kind ever held in this town.

TEN WEEKS IN BED—EMINENT
•s.
PHYSICIANS FAILED— WON
DERFUL RECOVERY.
I wish to inform you of the great
benefit I have derived from the use
use of Swamp Root. I had been a
sufferer for more than twenty years
from kidney and liver trouble and
was almost constantly treated by the
most eminent physicians who could
only give me temporary relief. 1 had
been in bed ten weeks when I began
the use of Swamp-Root. Inside of
twenty-four hours I could see that 1
had been greatly benefitted. I con
tinued to use Swamp-Root until I had
used several bottles when I really
felt that my old trouble was com
pletely cured and I am positve that
any person suffering with kidney or
liver trouble can be cured by the use
of this preparation.
lain now in the best of health,
better than I have been in tor ten
years or more. I do not know how
to express myself as strongly as I
desire, in favor of Dr. Kilmer’s
Swamp-Root, as I am sure that it
saved my life and that niv good
health is due entirely to this great
remedy. I heartily recommend it to
every sufferer and am confident they
can be benefitted as I have been. It
is a pleasure for me, gentlemen, to
hand you this recommendation.

Mrs. Josephine Davis Hill, formerly
of Macon, but now living in Alabama,
was married at 12, a mother at 13, a
widow at 16, re-married at 20, and
became a grandmother a few days
ago when a baby was born to her
daughter.
J. J. Tucker, of Tift county, is
rejoicing in the birth of his twenty

the honors of producing this unusual
family. Seventeen of the children
still live.
Try Buchu and Juniper for Weak
Kidneys or Bladder.
If kidneys and bladder are weak;
obliged to get up often at night, urin
is dark, spots before the eyes, back
aches, puffy ankles or eye-lids, drop
sy, rheumatism, lumbago, yellow skin
short breath, dizziness, despondency,
diabetes. The best medicine for
these distressing symptoms is old
fashioned Stuarts Buchu and Juniper
Compound. It neutralizes the acids
in the urin and strengthens the neck
of the bladder and cleans all impu
rities from the kidneys thus curing
the worst cases of Kidney or blad
der trouble. Take a spoonful of
Stuarts Buchu and Juniper in a lit
tle water after meals and on going
to bed. Sold by G. W. De La Per

Mr. S. M. Cruse, the florist of Athens was
here this week and asked me to take the ex
clusive agency for his flowers in Winder.
Knowing the tremendous difference in
prices Mr. Cruse has been furnishing for Win
der as compared with Atlanta prices, I con
sidered it a favor to the people of Winder as
well as Mr. Cruse to take the agency.
One trial will convince you of the values
Mr. Cruse offers. Phone me what kind and
priced boquet or design you want and it will
be here on next train.
