est and love of the hearers. Few
men have come to Winder who made
a better or more helpful impression
on the people. During his stay of
some two and a half years with us
he Avon many friends, and these were
not merely from his own denomina
tion. The citizens of the town ap
appreciated him for his true worth.
Touching resolutions were adopted
by his church, the ministers’ associ

First Baptist Church.
Revival services will continue
through the week.
Sunday at eleven o’clock, the pas
tor will preach on “The Great Invi
tation.’’ At night on “John 3:16.”
The members of the different church
es in town have attended the service*
well from the start, and added much
to their interest and helpfulness. A
combined co-operative effort on the
part of all the Christians would rev
olutionize our city. We need more
of the oldtime religion. More of the
love told about in John 3:16. There
are only two forces operative in the
world. Good and evil. Christ leads
one, the Devil leads the other. A
man is the follower of the one or the
other of these not according to pro
fession but according to service. Ev
ery tree is judged not by the little
tag that hangs on it, but by the fruit
that it bears. If any man goes to
hell from Winder it will be despit°
thousands of loving invitations from
Christ and his servants. He has done
all that it is possible to do get men
saved, but some of the saved ones
show mighty little gratitude for it
in the matter of getting others to
come to the feast that He has pi e
pared for “Whosoever will” come
and enjoy it.
All things are possible to the faith
ful, the Chrstian can do what he
chooses if he abides in Christ and
Christ abides in him. Souls are lost;

dreaded disease that science has been
able to cure in all its stages, and that is
Catarrh. Hall’s Catarrh Cure is the only

TEN WEEKS IN BED—EMINENT
PHYSICIANS FAILED— WON
DERFUL RECOVERY.
I wish to inform you of the great
benefit I have derived from the use
use of Swamp Root. I had been a
sufferer for more than twenty years
from kidney and liver trouble and
was almost constantly treated by the
most eminent physicians who could
only give me temporary relief. I had
been in bed ten weeks when I began
the use of Swamp-Root. Inside of
twenty-four hours I could see that 1
had been greatly benefitted. I con
tinued to use Swamp-Root until I had
used several bottles when I really
felt that my old trouble was com
pletely cured and I am positve that
any person suffering with kidney or
liver trouble can be cured by the use
of this preparation.
I am now in the best of health,
better than I have been in for ten
years or more. I do not know how
to express myself as strongly as I
desire, in favor of Dr. Kilmer’s
Swamp-Root, as I am sure that it
saved my life and that my good
health is due entirely to this great
remedy. I heartily recommend it to
every sufferer and am confident they
can be benefitted as I have been. It
is a pleasure for me, gentlemen, to
hand you this recommendation.
