CHEROCOLA COMPANY
DOING FINE BUSINESS.
There is a Winder manufactory not
heralded with glaring trumpets that
is doing a fine business in and for
our city. It is the Chero-Cola Bot
tilng Works, located in th Lay build
ing.
A few months ago Mr. S. C. Ward,
of Athens, purchased this enterprise
and placed the management in the’
hands of J. C. Brewer. Since then
things have been booming along
Chero-Cola avenue. The bottle goods
is delivered by gasoline truck. This
company does bottling of all kinds,
but Chero-Cola is its specialty. Mr.
Brewer is in shape to cover the
surrounding territory, and the busi
ness is expected to increase by leap*
and bounds. —Advt.
Winder Public School.
Two little tots in the third grade
brought us the following for publi
cation. The contributions are the
product of their own brains, and we
take pleasure In passing them on to
our readers:
Mr. Editor: The third grade is
learning the tables through the elev
ens. We are playing games and are
climbing ladders in order to learn
them better. We enjoy this very
much. Nearly every one in the room
knows them perfectly.
We dramatize most of the stories
in our reading lessons. This helps
u. to understand them better and
makes them more interesting.
Our teacher has just finished read
ing a fine story to us —The Two Lit
tle Confederates.
We are glad that most of the pu
pils are doing neater work.
We shall he so glad to have any
v ho wish to, visit our room.
Marion E. Bell.
The third grade has eighteen out
of thirty-six pupils who have made
perfect in written and oral spelling
during the month of April. Those
who have made this record are:
Marion Bell, Essie \V illiams,
Nettie Bagwell, Evelyn Harris, An
na Branch, Therese Htofmeister, Ruth
Lanier, Sallie Lord, Fay Tucker, Mi
ry Smith, Lawrence Shepherd, .1. B.
Williams, Vallie Sharpton. Woodfin
Hill, Rosa Roberts, Homer Griffeth,
Vera Forester, Jepter Feagan.
There were eleven perfect in writ
ten spelling. We hope to have more
than this next month. We now know
the Love Chapter which is the 13th
chapter of Ist Cor. Also the 100th
Ist and 23d Psalms.
We all like to do good work be
cause it pleases our teacher and our
superintendent. We enjoy having him
visit our room.
Nettie Bagwell.

Refrigerators
Copyright 1309 by C. E, Zimmerman CO.--NO. 32
There was a time when we used to put things in the cellar or
the well to keep them cool, but nowadays we have minature ice
houses, w here we may store the eatables during the hot weather from
day to day. For one reason alone you can’t afford to buy a poor one,
for you pay the difference in price in the ice you have to buy.
We have a splendid assortment of the Odorless Refrigerators in
stock and we also handle the Leonard Cleanable line, which is one of
the best lines of refrigerators made.
We have also received a shipment of The WONDER Ice Cream
Freezers, and can supply your needs in sizes from two to six quarts.
We have what you need in these lines, or we can get it, or it
isn’t made. Don’t fail to see us before you buy.
