PARADISE SCHOOL.
Paradise school was originally lo
cated in Walton county, six mill,
south of Winder on the Hog Moun
tain road. It is four miles from Stat
ham, three miles from Bethlehem,
two and one-half miles from New
Chapel and about the same distance
from Doves’ Creek school. It was
organized in 1895, and a small one
room building was used at first. In
1915 the attendance had so greatly
increased that another room was
built. The original school lot con
sisting of two acres was given by
J. M. Clack, a well known citizen
of this community, who is still living
near the school. The building is on
an elevation about 100 feet from the
road and is well drained. It has
plenty of shade trees in the yard an
a well of good water. The building
is painted outside.
The people of this district are
very enthusiastic and always co-op
erate with any plans for school im
provement. This school won one ol
the stoves at the fair last year, hav
ing 99 per cent of its enrollment in
the school march. There are at pres
ent ninety-nine on roll with a good
average attendance. The teachers
are Misses Villie Fowler and Grace
Fowler, of Auburn, who have taught
here two years. They and the trus
tees are very enthusiastic workers
and together have done a great deal
of service in building up a good
school spirit in this district. The
present trustees are W. H. Miller,
VV. T. Barber and W. H. Delay.
A promise with a string tied to it
naturally has its drawbacks.
You can never tell. The dead sure
thing may be more dead than sure.
The world is full of women who
would rather be interesting than
proper.
It may be true that every man has
his price, but most of us hate to be
sold,

a cyclone is likely to strike this section at any time, so INSURE with

He owes the protection that it gives, to his peace of mind and the
care of his loved ones.
