NAZARETH.
I am generally an optimist. 1
know that behind the clouds the sun
is shining. Just now, however, it
don't look favorable for sunshine and
good weather for our American peo
ple. I am satisfied that the President
and the Congress of the United
States are handling the situation as
well as it is possible to have it done.
It seems to me that it would be a
great calamity for our folks at home
to elect and place in power at tlu
Capitol an inexperienced man. Nc
matter what other qualifications they
might have. The war in Europe is
not ended yet, maybe by several
years. The rulers can sit in their
castles and order their subjects to
go out and be shot and there are
more coming.
As I see it, the United States has
undertaken quite a big job—for hu
manity’s sake —when they have kill
ed or captured Villa and his band.
There will be an avenging enemy be
hind every cactus, to shoot our peo
pie, no matter who they are, so they
are white. We want to change some
of our State officers, but not the Na
tional.
This is the year for our rural folks
to be constantly on the lookout. Keej
our resources well in hand; diver
sify our crops; make our farms self
sustaining and some for the town
folks. Then we can battle success
fully with the Mexican weevil, oi
the Mexican bandit. I hope that tlie
big cotton farmers of the South will
materially reduce their cotton acre

NOT DUE TO SEX ALONE
Winder Women Have Learned The
Cause of Many Mysterious Pains
and Aches.
M any women have come to know
that sex is not the reason for all of
the backaches, dizzy headaches and
urinary disorders. Men have these
troubles, too, and often they come
from kidney weakness. To live sim
ply, eat sparingly, take better care
of one’s self and to use Doan’s Kid
ney Pills is bound to help bad kid
neys get better. There is no other
remedy so well recommended by Win
der people. Read this case:
Mrs. McElhannon, Broad St., N., of
Winder, says: “When 1 used Doan’s
Kidney Pills about three years ago,
I was greatly relieved of kidney and
Diadder trouble. Other medicines had
brought me no benefit at all. Doan's
Kidney Pills went to the seat of the
trouble and regulated the action of
my kidneys.”
Price 50c at all dealers. Don’t
simply ask for a kidney remedy—g“t
Doan’s Kidney Pills*—the same that
Mrs. McElhannon had. Foster-Mil
