In order to keep up with the. work
of the Solicitor General’s office, it
practically takes one’s entire time.
We are hblding court from ten to
eleven months in the year, and when
not actually engaged in the epurt
house, my time is given to the prep
aration of cases. As*you well know
I have attended committal trials and
inquests and made personal examina
tion of witnesses, in order to have

my cases ready for trial. I will
therefore, have very little time, it
any, to call upon the people in per
son and ask them for their votes. In
view of this fact, I earnestly request

outside, while 1 am on the inside,
lighting for your welfare and protec
tion.
