HUSBAND RESCUED
, DESPAIRING WIFE
After Four Years of Discoaraging
Conditions, Mrs. Bullock Gave
Up in Despair. Husband
Came to Rescue.
Catron, Ky.—ln an interesting letter*
from this place, Mrs. Bcttie Bullock
writes as follows: “I suffered for four
years, with womanly troubles, and during
this time, I could only sit up for a little
while, and could not walk anywhere at
all. At times, 1 would have sevcr.e pains
in my left side.
The doctor was called in, and his treat
ment relieved me for a while, but 1 was
soon confined tx tUj again. After
that, nothing sectued to do me any good.
I had gotten so weak 1 could not stand,
and I gave up in despair.
At last, my husband got me a bottle of
Cardui, the woman’s tonic, and I com
menced taking it. From the very first
dose, I could tell it was helping me. 1
cm now walk two miles without its
tiring me, and am doing my work.”
If you are all run down from womanly
troubles, don’t give up in despair. Try
Cardui, the woman’s tonic. It nas helped
more than a million women, in its 50
years of wonderful success, and should
surely help you, too. Your druggist has
sold Cardui for years. He knows what
it will do. Ask him. He will recom
mend it. Begin taxing Cardui today.

BACKACHE IS DISCOURAGING.
But Net So Bad if Ypu Know How
to Reach the Cause.
Nothing more discouraging than a
constant backache. Lame when you
awaken, pains peirce you when you
bend or lift. It’s hard to work or to
rest. Backache often indicates bad
kidneys. Winder people recommend
Doans Kidney Tills. Read this case:
Mrs. C. B. Guest Athens St., E.
Winder, says: “My kidneys were out
of order and I had dull, constant
pains across the small of my back.
When I stooped the trouble was
much worse. Dizzy spells were fre
quent and dark spots blurred my
sight. One of the family had used
Doan’t Kindey Pills with good re
sults and advised me to take them.
A few" doses brought great benefit.
1 continued using Doan’s iKdney
Pills and all symptoms of the trou
ble loft I row have no cause for
complaint.”

Treatment Successful.
A lady in Sentinel says she believ

cured her boy of the cigarrette hab

hand on the boy’s neck, she adjus

It effected a cure and a relapse is

Announcements
FOR CONGRESS
To the Voters of the Ninth Dis
trict of Georgia;
I announce as a candidate for Con
gress subject to the rules and regu
lations governing the primary, Sep
tember 12th.
I shall go before the people in all
the counties as soon as I can leave
Washington without neglecting my
duties. I have a message to deliver
to the people and hope to meet per
sonally every citizen of the district
before electicn day. In the mean
time I will appreciate the support
and influence cf all good citizens.
Sincerely yours,
THOS. M. BELL.
FOR SOLICITOR GENERAL
I aua a candidate for Solicitor Gen
eral of the Western Circuit, subject
to the regulations to be prescribed
by the State Executive Committee,
and the Executive Committees o.
Banks, Barrow, Clarke, Gwinnett,
Jackson, Oconee and Walton counties
I believe the criminal .aw should
be so administered as to command
the respect, and promote the high
est interest of our people.
The custom since 1904 to allow
the Solicitor General cue term of
four years Is a good one.
I ask your help and support. Re
nember me when you come to vote
in the primary.
I will appreciate anything you may
do or say for me.
W. O. DEAN.
To the White Voters of the Western
Circuit:
For Solicitor General Western Circuit
1 desire to let the white citizen
of this circuit know that I will ap
preciate their help, influence and
vote for re-election as Solicitor Gen
eral.
R has been my ambition to serve
you in a manner that would meet
with your approval. I have given
my time and attention (day and
night) to the duties of the office,
and if you should see fit to honor
me with another term, it shall be my
policy to continue to try to suppress
crime in all of its forms.
The security of the home, the pro
tection of property, and the safe
guarding of the citizens’ liberty, de
pend upon the enforcement of the
law, and a respect for the Court’s
decrees and sentences, by those in
authority, as well as by private cit
izens. The Solicitor General, in a
large measure, is the officer upon
whom our people rely to insure this
protection.
This being my first term in office
and in public life, 1 have, no doubt,
made mistakes, they were due how
ever to "an error of the head and
not of the heart." I, therefore, feel
and believe that my experience and
acquaintance with the people have
equipped me for better service and
more usefulness for another term
than I have been able to render dur
ing the past three years.
In the light of the kind expres
sions from the Grand Juries, under
whom 1 have been permitted to
serve, and from the people generally,
I believe it is the will of the God
fearing and law-abiding citizens, that
1 should be re-elected and given an
indosement.
As stated in my race before you
saw fit to elect me, "If I give satis
faction and you see fit to re-elect me
an I I deem it to my interest, we will
kep company," so, if in your judg
ment my public service lias been
satisfactory, I will ask you to give
me another term as an indorsement
of my efforts to measure up to the
responsibilities of the office.
In order to keep up with the w r ork
of the Solicitor General’s office, it
practically takes one’s entire time.
We are holding court ten to elev
en months in the year, and when not
actually engaged in the court house,
my time is given to the preparation
of cases. As you well know, I have
attended committal trials and in
quests and made personal examina
tions of w itnesses, in order to have
my casts ready for trial. I will
therefore, have very little time, if
any, to call upon the people in per
son and ask them for their votes.
In view of this fact, I earnestly re
quest you to look after my interest
on the outside while I am on the in
port and trusting thal I may be deem
