The Strand Theatre will have at
an attraction next Monday Bill}
Burke in “Peggy.” This photoplay
is based on Comedy of that name in
wJiich Miss Burk has pleased mil
liens.
She played the Atlanta Theater to
standing-room audi'nces only for five
performances.
If the screen can furnish anything
like the amusement enjoyed in the
legit'mate, no better reels will be
seen here 1n many moons. It takes
seven full reels to present the play
and no doubt the Strand will b
packed both afternoon and evening.

Auburn To Have Chautauqua.
Auburn, Ga., October 16 —Arrainge
ments have been mad-e whereby the
town will hold a three days Chautau
qua next week beginning on Wednes
day the twenty-fifth. The attractions
will be furnished by the RaddHffe
Chautauqua Company of Washington,
D. C. with Dr. A. M. Hyde as direc
tor. Dr Hyde will also deliver two
famous lectures during the week and
with such other companies on the
program as Eugene I.arkhart, Dume,
the Mysterious, the Columbia Concert
Cos., and the famous Alpine Yodlers
the people should get their money’s
worth. Two performances daily will
be given in the Southeastern Chris
tian College auditoruim.

The estate of the late G. L. Bagwell,
deceased, will be sold before the Couit
House door in Winder, Ga., on the first
Tuesday in November, to the highest bidder.
