Slim Flinders went to the Gander
Creek woods yesterday to select a
lot of game to shoot at when lie

The Depity Constable is adding
fame to his record by going out on
another case this week. He will
make a thorough investigation of the
case, and took a chair along with
him so he can sit down and rest on
his laurels.
The Excelsior Fiddling Band, which
has been rehearsing for several
weeks for an entertainment in the
Calf Ribs neighborhood has been
postponed on account of the war in
Europe.
Miss Hostetter Hocks sang several
nice selections at the entertainment'
Thursday evening. She was accom
panied by Raz Barlow on his big
fiddle.
While discussing Congress matters

clared it might be easy to pass

dish-pan this week and it is feared
that he is going to try to join the
Tickville band.
Raz Barlow will leave in a few
days for a sight-seeing trip through
the Calf Ribs neighborhood. He be
lieves in seeing America first.
