DR. G. W. ERE ENJOYING TRIP IN FLORIDA Daytona, Fla. —My Dear Friend: Sitting by a gentleman this morning, he said the weather was 30 to 40 de gr*es below zero at Ids home. This morning the temperature here is 70 and on the ocean 60. Isn’t that fine? We are having plenty of fruit and all kinds of vegetables. Miami is said to be uncomfortably warm. Ifso we will not stay there long. This is God’s country sure enough in tile winter time. But God’s chosen pwple live in Win der—some of them, anyway. I hope I may live a hundred years and never grow older. My greatest desire is to live with and among the Winder peo ple. I know you think I am sentimen tal. Well, a man without sentiment is a man without soul. A man with out soul is a man without feelings. Don’t you see where that will run to? I have never appreciated the rough, cold, unkind spirit I find in some men. You can do anything in the world w ith me by kindness and love. till, say, how's politics? Wish I could sit down and talk to you. I guess the folks east of us arc finding some body else in America besides one man, Don’t you think so. 1 am sloping at. a perfectly splendid place with one exception. Most too many women—-particularly old women —six to one man. I always was a fool about good looking women. But Lord knows, I don't like but one at a time. There is otic away over in a corner of the dining room—laughs so loud she reminds you of being at an old-fash ioned corn shucking. I will better you five dollars she is a widow.
