The Woman's Missionary Society
•will meet with Mrs. J. C. Williams
next Monday at 3:30 o'clock. All the
ladies’ presence will be appreciated.
George Johnson, son of Fred John
son, passed*' away last Saturday.
George had been suffering for several
months. He was a good darkey, had
the utmost respect for his white friends
Fred's white friends are sympathizing
with him and his wife. He has raised
a bunch of good and obedient children,
three boys to be grown, and they have
been good and kind to their parents
and respected them as such.
May the good influence of this fami
ly live long and be a help to their
colored friends. May he rest in peace.
Mrs. J. 11. Wall intertained at a
five course dinner last Monday at her
home on Broad street. The table was
decorated in white and pink roses.
Covers were laid for six. Those pres
ent Misses Sara Lowe. Bessie Lanier,
Idalee Ross, Eudine Jones, Pauline
Roberts and Irene Roberts, of Decatur.
Mrs. Rosa Booth and Mrs. Lillian
Spivy, of Athens, were the guests of

Mrs. Lillie Nichelson was the guest
of Mrs. Will Autry, of Winder, part
of this week.
