AFTER FIVE YEARS
Winder Testimony Remains Unshaken.
Time is the best test of truth. Here
is a Winder story that has stood the
test of time. It is a story with a point
which will come straight home to many
of us.
Mrs. J. 1- McElhannon, X. Broad
street, says: "I had a severe attack
of kidney trouble about three years ago.
The different remedies I used gave me
no relief, so I heard of Doans Kid
ney IMIN and began taking them. Bonn's
took hold of the trouble at once and
s.,on corrected the complaint.”
The above statement, was given May
fi, 1914 and on April 20. 191 H Mrs.
McElhannon said: "I can’t speak too
highly for Bonn's Kidney l’ills and
wish to confirm my former statement.
Whenever I don t feel just right, a
few of Bonn’s always bring me prompt
relief.”

TO USE IOWA AS TARGET
Naval Experts Will Bombard Ancient
Battleship With Big Guns.
A moving target tor mod, rn dread
naughts is to he the fate of the old
liuttlesldp lowa, once pride of the
American fleet and flagship of the late
“Fighting Boh” Evans.
The lowa, which is about thirty
years old, is no longer of use as a
lighting ship, and the bombardment
of the ancient craft therefore will he
a slight loss to the navy. By sending
the lowa out to sea under wireless
control and maneuvering the vessel as
if -die were in battle with more mod
ern ships, valuable data will lie ac
cumulated for tuiure naval use.
Mod targets of this kind in t’o>
past have bun fixed. Others towed
hy other ships at the end of long ca
bles. The Imva will move around as
if she were under her own steam with
,i full crew, if the plans of experts do
.'•t fail. The wireh . s apparatus to
be employed to maneuver the old yes
el is that of John Hays Hammond,
Jr., for the wireless control of torpe
'hms from land, with some modifica
tions.

AN MIPUPTAST LETTER
Columbus, Ga.-" Doctor Pierce’s
Golden Medical Discovery is cer
tainly a grand medicine for stomach
trouble. I have suffered greatly
all my life with disordered stomach.
Mv food seemed to set so heavy,
no matter what I ate. I have taken
many of the medicines advertised
for this trouble but none of them has
ever come up to ‘Golden Medical
Discovery’ for giving prompt and
lasting relief. Whenever I have a
sluggish liver with sick - headache
and constipation I have found that
Dr. Pierce’s Pleasant Pellets are a
very efficient remedy. They do not
gripe or cause any other distressing
condition such as a great many pills
do.”-MRS. Laura Kimbrough, 3303
Earlene Avenue.
Few families have not at some
time or other used this Golden
Medical Discovery. Over twenty
four million bottles have been sold
in this country.
