Social and Personal News HAMILTON—PATAT. At the home of the bride’s grand mother, Mrs. Marthy Johnson Perry, Miss Lena Hamilton and Mr. Claud Patat were married last Saturday afternoon, Rev. W. 11. Faust officiating. The wedding was a simple but pretty one, attended by tbe rela tives and few intimate friends of the bride and groom. The wedding march was play ed by Mrs. Gibson Nowell, of At lanta. The bride is a young woman of many charming traits of charac ter and has a large circle of friends here and other places where she is well known. Mr. Patat is rapidly forging his way to the front in the business world, is a young man of Winder but now of Atlanta, with the Wood ruff Machinery Cos. Immediately after the wedding Mr. and Mrs. Patat left for Ash ville, N. C. and other points of terest. MATINEE PARTY. Miss Francis Brooks entertain ed a few of her friends at a mati nee party Saturday afternon in honor of her guest, Miss Cora Rat liff. Those present were; Misses Cora Ratliff, Kathlen Wilson, Pa tience Russell and Ellinor Smith. EASTER EGG HUNT. The young ladies Federated Club will have/charge of an Eas ter egg hunt for the children of the town, on Saturday, April 19, at tbe North Georgia Fair ground at 4:00 o’clock. Admission will be 10 cents. The proceeds to go towards buying garbage cans for the town. A prize will be giv en to the boy or girl who finds the golden egg. THE LADIES. OF FIRST BAP TIST ENTERTAIN. The ladies of the First Baptist church will entertain the W. M. V. of the East Central Division on next Tuesday, 15th, at the First Baptist church. Mrs. W. H. Prior, of Greensboro, president of tliis division will preside. Mrs. AV. B. Frost and Mrs. A. B. Green will be present and make addres es. A feature of unusual interest will he the presence and address of Mrs. W. J. Neel, of Cartersville, state president of Georgia AV. M. U. The local Baptist women will serve lunch in the church parlors. Every Baptist woman is expect ed to he present*and to contrib ute towards lunch. For informa tion concerning latter, ’phone, Mrs. J. M. Mrs. Eavenson, of Bowman, is tlie guest of her daughters, Mrs. W. <\ Horton and Mrs. Paul Rob erts and her sons, Messrs. A. . Eavenson and Rosco Eavenson. Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Alillikin, Messrs. L. S. Ra|iford, Guy Kil gore, and Bertrum Radford spent Thursday in Dahlonega. Mr. and Mrs. Millikin went to see their son, Jack, who is in college there. Messrs. 11. A., R. Lj. and Jack C'arithers, E. V. Snipes, Mrs. W. 11. Faust, and little daughters, Hilda and Marietta were among the Winderites at Bethabara church Sunday afternoon. Judge Robinson, the man who sems to have a life-time job as Or dinary of Gwinnett county, was in Winder Tuesday. There are few cleverer men to he found than Or dinary Robinson. Mrs. E. F. Saxon spent Thurs day in Atlanta. Dr. W. C. Potts spent the wek end in Macon on busines. Mrs. R. M. Miligan has been quite sick for several d^ys. Mr. J. L. Jackson is spending the week with his family. Mrs. C. S. Williams spent Tues day in Athens. Mr. 11. E. Haynie spent Sunday in Atlanta having his eye treated. .Miss Myrtle Booth spent the week end with home-folks near Stat ham. Mr. L. F. Jackson, of Alma, Ga. was on a short visit to relatives here this week. Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Camp and Camp, spent Sunday afternoon in Athens. Dr, and Mrs. Gibson Nowell, of Atlanta, spent the week-end here with relatives. Misses Icie Smith, Fay Wilkin son and Krastus Smith spent Sat urday in Athens. The K. K. K. will met with Mis Francis Brooks on Friday after noon. Mr. Green Graham was confin ed to his room several days last week. Mrs. J. T. Wages, of Auburn, is spending several days with her sister, Mrs. P. A. Flanigan, is spending a few days in and a round Winder, this week. Mr. and Mrs. Rich Johnson were in the city Tuesday after noon. Miss Rosa Reeves, of Statham, spent the week-end with her par ents here. Mrs. J. J. Potts spent Thursday in Athens with Airs. J. AI. Hood. Air. W. J. Dalton, of Atlanta, gave a splendid talk to the Loyal Guards Sunday school class last Sunday morning. Air. and Airs. Charley Jackson and son, O. AI. ,of Atlanta, spent the week-end with Air. and Airs. Judson Jackson. Aliss Birdie Smith, of Decatur, is the attractive guest of Aliases Icie, Alary and Jennie Smith this week. Mr. John Alillsaps, the big mule and horse dealer of Atlanta, was in Winder Alonday on business. Air. Alillsaps has large interests in AVinder and Barrow county j which call him here quite often, and where his large circle of friends are always glad to wel come him. John Brooks, grand-moth er of 3lrs. Reese Couch died the home of her daughter in At lanta Tuesday night and will be buried at Winterville Thursday. Mrs. Brooks was 80 years of age. 31 rs.
